The verse you quote is God speaking to Adam and Eve, not Mary. If you are going to quote scripture you will need to know the context or else you will be misusing scripture.
Jesus was placed in Mary's womb. Nowhere is Mary's genetics mentioned.
"In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
- Luke 1:26-33
"Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus."
- Matthew 1:18-25
I understand that your church has taught you something else from its traditions, however, the Bible doesn't teach that Jesus is genetically connected to Mary. If Jesus was connected then he would have been born with the curse of Adam and been by nature a sinner, which Jesus was not.
We will disagree.
If you renounce Jesus as King of kings I’ll renounce Mary as my Holy Queen and Mother. It’s because Jesus is King of kings that His mother has great status with me. In David’s line the mother is Queen.
Catholics are Israelite in belief. Mary is the living Ark of the New Covenant.
Catholics call Mary the most blessed of all women every day hundreds of times in prayer, in fulfilment of scripture. Protestants and Baptist’s nothing, not even a feast day in her honour.
All generations of Catholics call her blessed in fulfilment of scripture, that’s how I know others aren’t following scripture. It’s Scriptural.
The biggest reason I remain Catholic is because the only people that have consistently maintained Mary as “ Blessed “ through the generations are Catholic.
Protestants hate her, Baptist’s hate her, the worst hateful things I’ve heard defending Jesus Mom.
I’ll take a flat nosed hard cast 45/70 hot load on her behalf any day of the week.
If you hate Jesus Holy mom so much, then there is zero ground between us.
Jesus mom did everything in obedience to God, she the most blessed and holy of all women.
Mary is God’s Throne, The Ark of the New Covenant, He suffers nothing to profane His Throne.
I don’t care how saved people feel, those who profane His Throne are destroyed, I’ve seen it. Don’t do it. Please don’t do it.
This is why I try not to talk about Jesus Mom to the ignorant, it’s as serious as handling The Ark of the Covenant. Judgement is swift and severe, in ways people can never understand.
Take me as a stupid, misguided, dumb Catholic, but for the love of God and your own safety sake, do not detract from the Ark of the New Covenant, Our Lady and Queen.
I sincerely say this not to win anything, or argument but only for those who do not know the ground they are walking on. Step back, reserve judgement, be at least neutral on it.
