    "Lord God,

    Today, Your people need revival.

    Your leaders need revival.

    Your Church needs revival.

    Your Church needs men that will draw near to a Holy God and remove the sin of this world as they draw near. Lord God, the level of sin in this world is getting worse. Please bring us the winds of Your revival one more time. Please.:praying: " AMEN

    perhaps I should not post in this forum as I am not a pastor, but I do sneak a look in here sometimes, and when I saw this post by El Guero I had to add AMEN

    Cross posting is spam, my friend. You would possibly be banned on the forum I help moderate.

    A word of advice, though: Try to consolidate your posts. Lengthy posts go unread unless someone is trying to pick it apart. Seperate ideas into their own paragraph, but keep the paragraphs fairly short. Double space between parapgraphs.

    I realize that you already are breaking things into short paragraphs and are double spacing between, but the length... I have been on forums for years, and these are universal expectations. Give them thought and heed.

    Only the Holy Spirit brings conviction. Preaching can be used by God...but Preaching in and of itself doesn't bring conviction. That's the Holy Spirit's job. It's not "and/or."

    Right, I have heard strong preachin before but the Holy Spirit could not have brought conviction... Because the message wasn't from the Bible.

    On the other hand, I have been driving along, just thinking, and WHAM! There it is.... The Holy Spirit had just got a hold of me and convicted me of something.

    yup, that's the problem, as I see it. Too many preachers trying to do the job of the Holy Spirit, or God, the Father, or even the Son.

    "I just want to save souls..." Sorry only our Lord Jesus can do that.

    "I really got my congregation convicted..." Holy Spirit does that.

    It goes on and on....

    Pastors, we need to be the undershepherds He has called us to be. Teach, lead, and model as best as you can.

    Do your job and leave God's job to Him, and we will be more successful than you can imagine.
