Your reasoning seems a little flawed. You would let your kids read them but not recommend them to anyone else and would question why someone else would recommend them?
All people are predisposed to sin, removing as many outlets to as many avenues is choice.
And on your last sentence, some people are not predisposed to adultery, specifically as defined by Christ in reference to looking. Would you then not tell anyone to avoid porn unless they were already predisposed to getting involved in adultery or something? Place drugs or whatever else in place of porn if it helps.
