Are you partnering with them at the pro-life rally as a Christian?
Yeah, the bus ride is unequally yoking us together for 30 minutes each way. What a sinner I am. Oh wretch!

Are you partnering with them at the pro-life rally as a Christian?
Yeah, the bus ride is unequally yoking us together for 30 minutes each way. What a sinner I am. Oh wretch!
This type of STRETCHING to try and make a point says that you fully understand that riding the bus ain't yoking.
SO you guys are acknowledging God and what HE says and still choosing to do something else?
Even though God says to not be unequally yoked?
Your church started it. For what reason did you need to partner with the Catholic Church?
And I go right back to 1 Samuel 15:22 Obedience is better than sacrifice. God receives NO glory when we disobey Him in order to accomplish that which we perceive to be a noble cause.
Those are the things that will burn as the chaff as they were not done for God but for self. Self ALWAYS disobeys God to accomplish its end desire.
And that's all well and dandy. But I ask again, for what reason does the Body of Believers have to partner with the Catholic Church? Were you not capable of adequately doing the work yourselves?
Because this makes it look as though your Church and the Catholic Church have the same beliefs.
Do the Catholics "spiritually minister" to these ladies?
So what is yoking?
1. Going to a Catholic's house and painting signs to be used in the pro-life rally?
2. Singing a hymn at the pro-life rally?
3. Bowing my head while a Catholic prays on the bus going to the rally?
We started the CPC. We launched it as it's own separate non-profit so other churches could also support it, enabling it to do a greater work. It is now supported through funds from churches and individuals including the Catholic church. So I guess I should tell my pastor to stop supporting it, huh?
Holy Spirit has spoken. You know and I'm gonna leave it at that.
Holy Spirit has spoken. You know and I'm gonna leave it at that.
That's up to you. But part of the wickedness of the Church is our continued disobedience for the "greater good".
If it is now saying it is unaffiliated with the Church but the Church is still helping to fund that which looks as though it is partnered with that which is against Christ, then...
So once again you will not answer a direct question. Instead you play the "I've got spiritual insight that others lack" card.
My answer it that none of those activities I listed are "yoking" with unbelievers, what are your answers?
Are you saying that you are the Holy Spirit?
So if you support an organization and a Muslim donates as well, you will then withdraw your support and leave them?
What if a Muslim donates money to your church for some reason. Do you leave the church?
SO once again I'm not playing your semantics games when you know full well what Scripture means when it says to not be yoked together with unbelievers. So save the games.
And my answer is that you need to stop trying so hard to find an angle to make your point that you make it look like you don't care what Scripture says.
You know what it means to yoke with unbelievers.
Yes, I defined it in post #30. A relationship where one entity wants to go in one direction and another wants to go a different path, but they are yoked or bound together, and will not achieve their end goals.
So what is your definition?
no, as I just shown in CONTEXT you have redefined Paul's intent. And the definition that God gives in Scripture trumps your definition. You gave the definition you needed to give to be able to try to argue and make a point.
Had you submitted yourself to what the Scripture says about yoking together with unbelievers and the verses thereafter, this would be a non-issue.
But as I said, the Holy Spirit has already delivered that you know. You just still need to try and make your point with your OWN definition.
no, as I just shown in CONTEXT you have redefined Paul's intent.

if it pulls you into idolatry you are unequally yoked. Your definition has us avoiding pretty much everyone. Jesus heard the same things when he fellowshipped with the sinners and tax collectors.what fellowship does a follower of christ have with those following Allah and his false prophet?
"Warning against idolatry"
This is the preceding title of 2 Corinthians 6:14. Everything from v. 14 on is dealing with idolatry. This is called CONTEXT.
no, as I just shown in CONTEXT you have redefined Paul's intent.
