What are you talking about? In what way is CBF "friendly" to Roman Catholics?

NOTE: Your compulsive need to negatively interject CBF into nearly every discussion indicates that there is either some scary stuff going on inside your mind or you have an intense anger problem toward CBF.

Once again, I beg of you -- seek professional counseling to work through this... (I'm serious about this.)

Norm: Being new to the board I am unaware of any animus PTW may have toward CBF, but I would hope CBF would be friendly toward Catholics and other religious groups, as well. It speaks little of Christians of any perspective if inter-faith (and intra-faith) dialogue or service is denied.

I have lots of issues with the Roman Catholic Church, but there are many believers who are Roman Catholic for one reason or another. There are also lots of Baptists who will not see heaven.

BB,
"I cannot see the forest for the tree's."

For the life of me, I cannot see how people can condemn the innocent. We need to become more patient and understanding. I understand PTW's feverish milk crate position. It many ways I feel the same.....but we need to see where the virus lies and treat it with the proper medication. Telling someone that they are going to Hell will most likely not be the catalyst in them turning. We must present the numbers to them, the equation will unwind itself. *Rome* will in no way escape their sin; it WILL find them out. I in no way condone the illicit doctrines of the RC church or for that matter any doctrine of demons, but to throw out ALL the babies with ALL the bath water, to me, is more the crime!

There was a time when I felt the other way........those days have passed! Many books, many years.

Whatever the case, their view on the eucharist is central (IMO). One could run with that thought, but that might undermine my point I was trying to make to my Orlando neighbor (PTW). I agree, God saves! And during this era, are we to shorten the arm of the Lord? It is mindless to believe that no one was saved during this tenure (which was'nt short either, mind you). Human dysfunction will not dismantle the decree of our mighty God!
Scott,

No, not of the RC Church. He was a Catholic, not a Roman Catholic. I believe that to be Roman Cathlic requires one to hold to certain beliefs that cannot be attributed to Augustine. Catholicism that is specifically Roman post dates Augustone substantially.
