Romans Commentary

How are the Martyn Lloyd Jones Commentaries on Romans 14 vol. set?:type:

They are decent, but it is the second in the series which is his most controversial and the one that I would substitute with other good commentaries. However, outside of the 2nd volume, I would highly recommend his work.

What's the story on volume 2? I can't find anything online about it.

Baptist,

I am looking for an article, as it has been about 5-6 years since I reviewed the book so I need a refresher course myself to ensure accuracy. Will get back to you soon.

I don't have my Romans 2 here with me in Virginia, but I will keep researching Romans 2.

However, I may have been wrong with the chapter and should have focused on either Romans 6 or 8. Lloyd Jones' Keswick ideas have tainted some of his commentary making portions of Romans controversial. Some have defended his viewpoint, but many find his views too along the keswick tradition to be comfortable.
