I will vote for the Republican nominee against the skinny dictator! I prefer someone other than Romney, hope for a brokered convention!

I will not vote for Mitt Romney because he is a Mormon and he has no moral bearing. That in no way means a vote for Obama. Here in this thread we have a person that says he will vote for someone who believes Jesus Christ is not God and Savior if he is the Republican nominee. It is going to be my hobby between now and November to talk to as many people as I can about the true makeup of Mitt Romney. Not only is he not a Christian, as governor of Mass, he pursued or did not oppose liberal policies on government health care, abortion, gun control, and gay rights. You also mention you hope for a brokered convention. Maybe if you and your other Republicans had been spending the last 22 years insisting on a conservative nominee for President instead of a whole series of liberal politicians, maybe you would not find yourself wondering why the Republicans were about to nominate a non Christian. The fact you would even consider voting for him says more about you than you could ever say about Obama, who is the worst President in our history.

Ya know what, my guess is you do not have a clue about Mormon doctrine. No, I do not know anyones relationship with God in the White House, or anywhere else as a matter of fact. I do not have a Holy Spirit scanner to sense the presence of each person I pass during the day. That is not the point. The point is, Mormons, of which he is one, profess that Jesus Christ is not God, is not Savior, and put the Book of Mormon above Scripture. Have you read his record in Mass? I would really like to hear your logic of voting for an anti Christian for President of the Untied States.

A no vote for the Republican candidate is a vote for Obama. I don't like Romney but he has not spent the last 3 years toadying to the Muslims.
Perhaps not, but he can not bring himself to sign a pro-life pledge. I can not support that.

That is so much baloney. A no vote for the Republicn candidate is a no vote for the Republican candidate, not a vote for Obama. It is a vote for a third choice. Again, you are the exact type that will attack Obama for not being a Christian and turn right around and vote for Romney.

Would you would be happier with someone who claims to be a Christian, yet doesn't go to church or do anything else that most Christians?
It looks like you are simple looking for some who claims Christianity so you can to sooth your conscience by telling yourself you are supporting God with your vote.

I was thinking about voting for Cain when he was running. At one time I also thought Perry was going to do a good job, but that all fell through. Presently, and it is not a candidate I could latch on to, I think Santorum is the best choice. The candidate I dislike the most yet would still vote for to get rid of Obama is Gingrich. Romney is the only candidate I refuse to vote for of the field running now for reasons stated above. Of course, there is always the hope someone will enter who is not running now, or more unlikely, a strong third party conservative candidate. Reagan, being the last conservative, crushed Mondale and Carter. Since then, the liberal candidates for the Republicans have either lost or just barely won.

I find these discussions like a time machine to 52 years ago when everyone was sure this country was going to perish because a Roman Catholic was running for President.
I would not vote for Romney, but whether or not he's a mormon has nothing to do with my vote, nor should it. He's not running for head religious leader, he's running for POLITICAL office. We should look at his political record. We should look at his answers on healthcare, taxes, abortion, whether or not we should have a constitutional ammendment on marriage, war, the economy and other issues of the day. What church he chooses to attend on Sundays should not affect the voting.
On the other...."a no vote for Romney is a yes vote for Obama" that is not true in a primary election, only the national election in November. In a primary election you are, basically, not voting for a candidate. Instead, you are voting for a delegate at the national convention this summer who WILL elect that candidate. A vote for Romney is a vote towards a delegate. A vote for someone who is running in the #2 or #3 spot is like a vote of confidence....keep running!
I find that if I stay focused on the issues that matter to me, listen to what the candidates say about those issues and not become emotional, and ask God to lead me to the right person then I am voting with a level head and heart.
