Romney Wins Illinois

Mitt Romney won the Republican Illinois primary decisively. He won the counties in and around Chicago and the other urban areas. If one notices the counties he won, it is the exact ones that Obama will carry in November. Besides that, who do you think will carry Illinois anyhow? This is bad news for conservative Christians who have any sense of morality and a respect for the Constitution. This does nothing but help Obama's reelection. When conservatives continue to support a party or do nothing about a party that nominates nominees that are the pure essence of evil, then one gets the desired results.

Looks like I will be forced to write in my choice in November. This is real crappy. The choice is a closet Muslim or a Mormon. One is a deciever the other a fool. I will not feel bad about not voting or writing in my choice. I think Rick Perry will do for me.

I have been voting a long time, and this is without a doubt the worst combination of the two final nominees in history. Voting for Obama was never a option. You are correct. Either I will go into the voting booth and vote for all offices except President, but will more than likely vote for a third party candidate that has some similance of integrity above the trash that is running.

Sadly I feel a Romney nomination just ensures another four years of Marxism unabated since Obama doesn't respect the Constitution. It may get real bumpy in a year or so. Maybe the Myan calendar prediction of the end on 21 Dec will be the best for us all. lol

When conservatives continue to support a party or do nothing about a party that nominates nominees that are the pure essence of evil, then one gets the desired results


Four things:
1. Ill is a semi-closed primary state (see link for explanation)

2. The Republican Party is not necessary conservative. There is a full gamut of from extreme conservative to moderate to liberal members.

3. Polls - many vote the way polls go

4. Primaries in Puerto Rico, American Samoa, ect are selecting delegates for the nomination. WHY? why should a commonwealth or territory send voting delegates to a convention if they are not permitted to vote for the POTUS?

So with those four facts, it is hard to have a true conservative to run.
And even if such a man was nominated it would be extremely difficult for him to win the POTUS as opposed to a moderate

Here is a central question for you. Why are the Republicans nominating someone who is carrying counties and states that Obama is going to win in November, in addition to being an nonconservative and amoral?

First, I must emphasis that many non-Republicans are voting (legally) in the Republican primaries.

Otherwise,I would say they want someone with a better chance of beating Obama. (doesn't mean I necessarily agree, just my thought.

FTR - Romney is not my first choice - and on the other hand, if nominated, I will NOT vote for Paul or Newt.

and finally, when the NY primary comes along, I will not be eligible to vote in the primary, as NY has a fully closed primary, and I am a registered Conservative.

(Note: to vote in a primary, you must have been registered with that party at least 30 days prior to the last general election - ie for this primary - the cutoff date would have been Oct 3, 2011. Only exception would be if you moved to NY from another State or Commonwealth or you had never registered before)

If you are voting for a Commander in Chief, why do you consider a Mormon better than a Muslim? If you are basing your vote on the liberal Obama agenda, when why are you voting for a nominee who is pro abortion, pro gay rights, pro government run health care, etc, etc, etc. What is the cutting edge in your mind that makes Romney one ounce better than Obama? What difference does it make that Republicans nominate a person of such low character? That is not justification for a vote, it reflects the character of the Republican Party.

Defending Romney based on his turn around on social issues is looking for a reason to vote for him in the dark. Romney is nothing more than a person who panders for votes at the expense of the blood shed in abortion clinics.

Who am I goiing to vote for? A conservative third party. That is NOT a vote for Obama, it is a vote for a conservative third party. Kentucky is not the same pattern as the rest of the southern states. I have no idea who will carry our state under these circumstances. However, in states like Mississippi and Alabama, with high black populations, and lots of evangelicals, in these circumstances, these states are in play, former solid red states.

Would I pray for him if elected? I will answer it like this. Our church membership that attends could not be any more anti Obama. There may be one or two. Having said that, yes, we pray for Obama regularly as the Bible commands.

If Mormon was the only negative factor with Romney, it might be different. However, the man as a whole, it nothing but deception, political opportunism, and playing games with moral issues. As I have said before, moral issues are a big deal here, and gay rights, abortion, etc are deal breakers with most, regardless of economic and foreign issues. I would hate to predict the outcome for this state in these given circumstances. All I can say is my vote will not be in Romney's column.
