Ron DeSantis: Flags to Be Lowered to Half-Staff for the Late Rush Limbaugh

Honoring the legacy of those we respected in life should not unexpected. I do not expect our flag to be lowered over the WH or NY or Ca. Why?

I am a Rush fan and believe he did valuable service for Conservatism. That said, U.S. Flag Code states, “by order of the President, the flag shall be flown at half-staff upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government and the Governor of a State, territory, or possession, as a mark of respect to their memory. In the event of the death of other officials or foreign dignitaries, the flag is to be displayed at half-staff according to Presidential orders, or in accordance with recognized customs or practices not inconsistent with law.” IMHO the best way to honor Rush's memory is to promote constitutional conservatism.

Christie lowered flags for Whitney Houston who drowned in her bathtub in a stupor. Was it a story then? Just another excuse to attack the right. Plus, it has become pretty obvious judging from my inbox, that DeSantis is positioning for the future, and honoring Rush would be logical. Press, press, press for free. Let’s hope that is not his motive.
