An inspiring, refreshing break from the seasons current fare.

Thank you for posting the clip. It was indeed very refreshing. Reagan was no perfect, as none of us are, but a class act, high quality leader. He wanted to serve instead of taking from the American people. He was the last decent President we have had. Look at the names since 1988 when he left office.

88 Bush, Dukakis
92 Bush, Clinton
96 Clinton, Dole
00 Bush, Gore
04 Bush, Kerry
08 McCain, Obama
12 Obama, Romney

Even Nixon and Kennedy out classed the above list.

OK------I'll give you Kennedy----but Nixon??? Billy Graham in his book, Just As I Am----said that Nixon was the biggest dissappointment he ever had as a friend!!

I think you are picking on Nixon because he failed cullinary school after leaving office. He said, "I am not a cook."

Reagan was my President. His was the first Presidential election I voted in. What an honor!

In every election since, I've voted against someone—well, in 2008 I actually voted for Sarah Palin.

Well you got that right on. My first election was Nixon, but at the time it seemed to be the right thing to do. Also, McGovern was the opposing candidate, probably aside from Lyndon Johnson, the first of many wacko candidates to follow.

Reagan was a true President.

A good insight into the mind of the man is The Reagan Diaries. The eight years he was in office, he kept a diary. It was intended to be for his and Mrs. R's own use, something to read in the years after he left office. It was never meant to be published. The best descriptor of the man that I can think of is impressive.
