When presidential candidates volley numbers at each other and toward voters, the truth sometimes gets caught in the crossfire.
In recent weeks, Ron Paul overstated the U.S. death toll in Iraq and Afghanistan, ....

....Ron Paul's spokesman Jesse Benton dismissed the critics who said the candidate overstated military casualties. "They want to go ahead and chide him for rounding up the number a little bit," he said. "That's something that seems a little silly."

Ron Paul doesn't seem to be quite the "statesman" he is made out to be.

A good point, Timmy. I think that all candidates for public office should be held to the strictest standards during political campaigns.

You might want to correct your spelling. The word is "statesman", not "stateman". :)

2 Timothy 2:1-4, I'm curious why you consistently bash a man that polls less than 3%. You don't take him serious, so why bother? In fact, it appears you have more animosity against a prolife tax cutter than any democrat I can think of.

You haven't been around long enough to make such a judgement.

My problem with RP is that he si being touted as a conservative. And yet he stands for liberal policies like legalizing drugs in this country and allowing states to decide for themselves to slaughter innocent unborn children.

Ron Paul
By freeing up law enforcement from chasing down drug users and non-violent drug dealers, Paul said they could spend more time looking for rapists, murderers and child molesters.

So he wants to set the animal drug dealers free who push that junk on our kids in this country. Nothing conservative about that.

1) I tout Congressman Paul as a libertarian not as a conservative, Timmy.

2) No, Congressman Paul wants no such thing.

Drugs are for consenting adults. Nothing of the sort should be forced on those under age.

You guys have to stop thinking I am talking about you unless I name you.

The net effect of releasing drug dealers on the street. It will happen every time.

Drugs are for consenting adults. Nothing of the sort should be forced on those under age.

But it will when we release drug dealers on the street.

Drug dealers are already on the streets and have been for decades. The "War on Drugs" has been no more successful than the "War on Poverty" has been.

His lack of conservatism disqualifies him for my vote, among other things.

Then take that up with the author of the articl
e.

Drugs are for consenting adults. Nothing of the sort should be forced on those under age.

And this, is a mindset you got somewhere other than the Bible. To carry that logic to conclusion, is to aid the destruction of society.

1) Good.

2) So what? I look to the Bible primarily for spiritual guidance for my soul, not for political guidance for my vote.

How long must I be here to make such a judgement? A legally binding deadline would help, if it's not too democratic for you.
I would not worry about that comment he made. In the first place, he has not been here one year. In the second place, you are debating someone who would defend Saint George regardless of what he does. It is called blind alligence. You cannot exchange ideas with such a mindset.

So you're saying stoning the messenger isn't a legitimate form of debate? You radical you!

And now you want to release more. Does that really sound like a good idea to you?

and why are you willing to ignore all the children who are not mature enough to make such a decision for themselves who will absolutely be approached by these criminal and thigs to both deal and use?

These children are currently being approached during this "War on Drugs" that you are so enamored with. Your statist approach has failed miserably.

And once again you want to release more to do the same?
