What it comes down to is that one of us thinks that Masons are sinful, and one of doesn't.

Do you agree that anything that goes against God's commands is sinful?

If so, then joining a society where you must swear blood oaths is sinful.

If so, then teaching that one can enter heaven outside of Christ is sinful.

You may argue that they don't take blood oaths, but you have already agreed that they teach salvation without Christ.

No, I assert that they teach that good works is the duty of a faithful servant of God.

    OK John,

    Answer this question:

Do Masons teach that one can gain salvation without Jesus Christ?

Masons don't teach on salvation that's specific to a religion.

This is not about salvation, it's about us someday being judged according to our works. The Bible is specific about this:

"Who will render to each one according to his deeds: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who…do not obey…indignation and wrath" (Romans 2:6-8).

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. (Revelation 20:12)

These verses are speaking about us being judged by the fruits of our labor on earth.

There seem to be quite a number of Baptist Denominations. Have any of them made the descion that if you want to be a member of the fellowship you can not be a Mason?

When the Salvation Army made this choice for its new Soldiers (not its adherhants, but those who wear the uniform) Some people got quite upset and left. Others carried on in the lodge which eventuated in some church problems.

It was mentioned earlier that the S.B.C looked at this idea then shelved it. What is the opinion of people in the S.B.C concerning allowing members and leaders to belong to the lodge? are any other groups looking at making a descion on freemasonry?

Here is what DHK posted in the Paul and Judging thread
If DHK is correct, then truely theLambskin Apron ceremony is saying that Masons are not going to enter heaven.

Now back to Masons teaching salvation without Jesus Christ...

"...before the Great White Throne, there to receive judgement for the deeds done while here in the body, may it be your portion to hear from Him who sitteth as the Judge Supreme, the welcome words: Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee rule over many things! Enter into the joy of thy Lord."

If God says enter thou good and faithful servant, then such a person is going to heaven. This person has received salvation.

Masons deny that Jesus is the unique Son of God. Masons deny that the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ. Yet Masons teach that good Masons will enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore they teach salvation outside of Jesus Christ. This is in direct opposition to what Jesus said.

If one accepts Mason teachings, then one must deny Jesus' teachings.

Masons don't deny or affirm anything about Jesus. They're not a religious organization, any more or less than the other examples I've stated. Must every organization that focuses on spiritual good works officially recognize Jesus? No.

Must every organization that claims that they have the key to salvation proclaim Jesus Christ?

    The answer is yes.

Do you deny that the quote I posted speaks to salvation?

    Wow.

If it could be proven that in order to become an Mason one must take blood oaths, would you say a member of the elect could not die as a Mason.

Thanks for the link, I would challenge anyone interested in Fremasonry to have alook at it and consider it carefully.

If the S.B.C is in agreement with this document then surely there employees and members should be asked to leave the lodge?
