Mothers are to be highly respected, but they usually don't get the respect they truly deserve, something I find very disturbing and unsettling.
Being a mother is a lot harder than many of the jobs most people work at, and politicians should take careful note of that, and either praise mothers, or keep their trap on safety so as not to act out a "Rosan".

All Ann Romney needs to do to demonstrate she has held a job is to post her Social Security work record.

Why does she need to show that she has social security earnings?

What possible difference does it make?

Obama never had a real job either.

Community organizer?

Puh-leeeeeze.

Rosen's silly rant was an attempt to slander Mrs. Romney.

Too bad for Obama and the Democrats that there are so many mothers who take offense to their silly notion that you can't understand the "struggles of ordinary people" unless you have held a 9 to 5 job.

Does Mrs. Obama act as though she understands with all of her taxpayer paid junkets to whatever luxury vacation resort she has a whim to visit? With her frivolous shopping trips? With chefs flown into the Whitehouse to make pizza?

The list is endless.

Bill, you've unwittingly demonstrated the liberal war on women. "Work" isn't valid unless you've paid into the socialist Social Security fund; and thus, "mothers"--whether they gave birth or adopted--who choose to focus their efforts on their children, rather than pay others to do so, have less stature than those who choose to indoctrinate their children with the concept that "mother's *real* job comes before you."

The Democrat Party attack on women towards the person of Mrs Romney was (IMO) a smokescreen, in and of a long series to come, to avoid a discussion of the real issue:

The failure and incompetence of this administration's policies and promises.

Prepare also for a shellacking and defamation of the Bush family, especially "W" by certain lower level progressive devotees and yellow press.

The DNC leadership will dutifully be "shocked" and condemn the offenders and apologise to the offendee (after the damage is done of course).

BINGO!

And if the common sense people of this nation don't see thru this ruse real quick, and make the true issues foremost in the public eye, then we're in for another 4 ye---- er, uh, unlimited reign of his majesty King Zero!!

I Guess I'd have to ask....

Anyone think MS Romney changed many diapers and did the laundry?

...how many diapers and loads of laundry have you PERSONALLY done in your life time?

Again, you have'nt responded to the fact that the Obama's brought Michelles mom to the WH to take care of the kids. Is this any different than the Romneys?

I don't see too much of a gap between the two of them (Obama's and Romney).

Again....

All Ann Romney needs to do to demonstrate she has held a job is to post her Social Security work record.

.....just how low are you planning to go with your point?

My mom, and tons of other baby-boomer moms, probably didn't have a SSN to show for, that is why they are permitted to piggyback on their husbands social Security.

Oops.... you just stepped into it.

You are now saying that a woman can't relate to the daily struggles of the "ordinary person" unless she changes her babies diapers.

But Democrats encourage women to not have babies.

And I postulate that it is Democrat women that have the lion's share of the abortions.

So it only follows by Democrat logic that Demorat women should not be allowed to vote or run for office.

And as an extension of Rosen's arguement that Romney is not qualified because his wife "never worked a day in her life" - men that are married to Democrat women should not be allowed to run for office either.

Do you see where what passes for logic in your world gets you?

By his own admission in a previous thread he only says these things to get a rise our of everyone.

Not exactly. I'm saying that many women consider raising children a pleasure and that many men and women define "work" as something one does for a paycheck. Many people do things on their own time which is more tiring and more difficult than their "regular" job but they call it fun, nor work.

So when you said, "Anyone think MS Romney changed many diapers and did the laundry?" - that meant - "...many women consider raising children a pleasure ..."?

You aren't kidding anyone.

Ann Romney raised a family while suffering Multiple Sclerosis, and a bout with breast cancer. She is loved in Massachusetts because of her charity work.

Hillary Rosen talks on T.V..
bill hates women. Not the ones he sees on calendars. He hates real women. That's why he hated Palin. That's why he hates Ann.

And let's not forget that bill is getting a hefty check for no work right now. He is getting paid for doing nothing. That's why he loves the Democrats, and they're getting their money's worth out of him.

Well, I Disagree with that TOO....

...I have to admit, that I must have been different than some, because I had several jobs that I actually felt guilty about getting a paycheck from.

Those jobs were a "pleasure" to have, and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every day spent at them.

I always felt that if I only did what I did for a paycheck, that it wasn't what I really wanted to do. And that is why I praise God. He always opened doors for me in the career field, because I can honestly tell you that there were very few days that hated or dreaded going to a job.

I never wanted to be a police officer. I applied because I was laid off at Boeing and most any job is better than no job. It was a fun job 45 years ago. These days I am glad that none of my kids or grand kids are local police work. Not even for $65K starting pay.

Gov Romney has more liabilities than you an shake a stick out, but his wife is NOT one of them.

Amen, Roger!!!

That is exactly why she will be ceaselessly attacked by liberals in the coming months.
