Russia Warns U.S. After Downing of Syrian Warplane

Are the Russians testing Trump?

Russia on Monday condemned the American military’s downing of a Syrian warplane, suspending the use of a military hotline that Washington and Moscow have used to avoid collisions in Syrian airspace and threatening to target aircraft flown by the United States and its allies over Syria.

The moves were the most recent example of an intensifying clash of words and interests between the two powers, which support different sides in the yearslong war in Syria.

The Russian military has threatened to halt its use of the hotline in the past — notably after President Trump ordered the launch of missiles against a Syrian air base in April — only to continue and even expand its contacts with the United States military. It was not clear whether the latest suspension would be lasting.

Well, the left should love this. To hear them talk, it seems like they want us to go to war with Russia.

I'll give him credit for the change in rules of engagement

The last time we shot a Syrian Jet down (I think) would be when my battle group did it in the Gulf of Sidra, 1981.

If Russia wants to lose even more revenue from foreign military sales, I reckon they can step up and show the world that their hardware goes down easy whether its a Russian or a Syrian behind the stick.

So true. They are in no hurry to expose this.

Actually Reynolds it is inevitable IMO.
The Cold War only postponed this inevitable showdown with Russia.

To me its like when I was a kid and had a bout with nausea. I wanted to vomit and get it over with.
Unless the LORD intervenes it will be war with them.

The bilateral allies are all lined up and ready to go.

My God have mercy on planet earth.

Am I paranoid?
Yes but I have more than delusion as proof.

IMO, The only thing stopping Putin is that he doesn't know what secret war toys we have in our arsenal.
OR, maybe he does and knows what the outcome will be for whats left of the Soviet "Evil Empire".

I am sure Putin blames America and Ronald Reagan for the 1990 Christmas day collapse of the USSR due to Reagan's development of our Star Wars "super technology" initiative of which they could not keep up.

Putin wants blood but he knows we can disintegrate him unless we are sufficiently weakened by internal strife.

Remember Stanley Kubricks movie "Dr Strangelove"? - a satirical spoof of the JFK/Kruschev showdown?

The movie ends with the song "We'll meet again" with overlaid films of the Russian 60 megaton thermo nuclear detonations.

Trump/Putin that next meeting?

Almost Everything in “Dr. Strangelove” Was True

At least with Trump at the helm we have a good chance of winning, like JFK he's not afraid.

Again IMO of course.

The su22 is obsolete. Its by no means Russia's new hardware.
