Firing up their new money laundering machine with FTX out.

US also claimed RU bombed their own pipelines. US also claimed Iraq had WMD's. US also claimed Joe Biden got 81M votes. US also claimed the Vaxx is "safe and effective". US claims a lot of things. Caveat Emptor!

Well, it’s Polish officials making the claim. Good points though.

How will NATO respond?

peace to you

Reuters: The Associated Press earlier cited a senior U.S. intelligence official as saying the blast was due to Russian missiles having crossed into Poland.

Later in the day the Pentagon backtracked & said they could not confirm.

NATO should do nothing and let Russia and Ukraine fight it out on their own terms.

It's highly unlikely the missile came from a Russian government sanctioned mission.

Biden announced it was unlikely the attack was from Russia.

I'm just wondering why. Or, even, why not.

Wow, I agree with Biden on something.

It makes absolutely no sense for Russia, who is in a stalemate in Ukraine, to open up a new front in the war with an adversary who has the capacity to annihilate all their land forces and begin a nuclear war. It makes 0 sense.

The only country that stands to gain if NATO fights Russia is Ukraine. Much more likely that it's a Ukraine black op to try and force Poland's hand. Probably a calculated attack specifically at Poland too as Poland wanted to send fighters to Ukraine and seemed to be the most Pro-War NATO member. It makes sense for Ukraine to target the most likely NATO member to activate Article 5.

My sense is that Ukraine is beginning to feel some kind of shortage in armaments or funding or manpower and they want to drag in a cobelligerent to apply new pressure before the attrition takes toll.

Well, I tend to notice nuanced statements. POTUS says it’s unlikely it was “fired from Russia”.

That doesn’t rule out that it was fired by Russian forces inside Ukraine or that it was fired by one of Russia’s ally’s fighting in Ukraine using their weapons systems.

However, it’s good he’s taking a measured approached until the facts are in.

As JonC said, it’s was probably an accident but it does demonstrate the Russians are bombing sites close to the Polish border. Not a good idea.

peace to you

Did you ever stick your toe in to test the waters. Whether by accident or design, the missile damage in Poland provides intel to Russia. Hopefully NATO will discern this and send an unequivocal message.

The head of the Lublin City Council has called for a review of Poland’s policy towards Ukraine after Ukraine struck:

“I don’t understand at all the actions of our President and government… This is a Ukrainian missile. This is a provocation on the part of the Ukrainian authorities… The missile could not have been mistakenly launched 100 km in the opposite direction. The purpose of the provocation is to speed up arms deliveries to Ukraine, to intimidate Europe with a scary Russia, so that civil society demands that European governments increase aid to Ukraine. Today our president should not reassure us with tales like “it was not so much the rocket explosion as the explosion of fuel that was there” and “it was an accident”, but make it clear to V. Zelenski that Poland will not tolerate such behavior of the Ukrainian authorities anymore! I urge you to reconsider Poland’s position on this war in case of another crossing of the red line!“

Biden's not stupid, nor is Putin. I remember too well when Kuwait was alleging the Iraqis were committing all these sick crimes, only to find out they were lies. A war waged on behalf of the Kuwaiti ambassador's daughter. Ok, now look at Ukraine. A lot of the stuff Russia said about Ukrain & neo-nazis has proven true, and looking at Russia's history with nazis, I can't say that I blame them. No I don't think that waging a war is the answer, but then supporting nazis is certainly a bad idea.

Biden's not stupid, ...
Tout au contraire. Biden has little sense (woefully proven in Afghanistan) and is deeply corrupt. But that matters little, as the Dem Progressive Left with their lackey media are quite clever at spinning.

And the populace isn’t terribly bright, many deliberately choosing not to listen to competing voices, especially voices that might "confuse them with the facts."
