Christ said He would build His church. If He and the Holy Spirit cannot move the folks why would you think you could :smilewinkgrin: Seriously, all you can do is preach the word and allow the Spirit to do His work. Do your best and if/when the Lord moves leads you somewhere else know that you did the most that you could.

I interiumed a group similar to yours for a year +, they have been through four pastors since and are just like they were when I arrived. Their profit to the Lord? Have no idea, but at least they serve one another as a group for prayer and fellowship.

We serve God not a group, do your best till He leads your husband elsewhere.

Our church has less than 30 people and we've been here over 4 years. For the past 15 years, the average stay for any one pastor has been 1-3 years. With each change in pastors, the church has assumed more control and refused to let go.

I'll pray for the two of you.
