Fact: The US was forced into action by a terrorist commander that refused to allow civilians to do their job and remove his ability to produce weapons of mass destruction.

We knew that he had this ability, because he had used his WMD to kill millions of his innocent civilians. (Much of what he did has not been declassified ... )

Take some Raid and spray some roaches or other vermin and watch them as they die.

    Do you enjoy that?

Then think about how Sadaam found enjoyment of that effect upon babies. Think about how he enjoyed thinking about making babies squirm as they died ...

Disgusting? Yes, he was (is) a disgusting & evil beast.

During one of his "board meetings" one of his cousins objected to one of his beastial actions, Sadaam shot him dead.

yes America probably saved untold numbers of lives when saddam was dethroned who knows but
perhaps God has given us all a little more time
to share the gospel and hopefully thru this war
many will actually come to christ at least now they openly have that opportunity please list christian organizations that are actively sharing the gospel now that saddumb is behind bars I would like to know

FC: Yes, people are accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior during this brief window of opportunity. The First Baptist Church of Baghdad is alive and well, PTL. The Jesus Film is being given out AND, in addition, some of very own military are finding Jesus Christ & being baptized through all of this. God is gracious.

Some people, even Christians, will also believe whatever they choose to believe and some people are spiritually blind, as well. Iraq has been the epicenter of demonic activity through the ages, scene of tower of Babel, etc. Iraq has also has had the Gospel as there was an Early Christian church in Babylon and the Gospel was preached in Ninevah by Jonah and the prophet Daniel was there - There are more forces at work than what we see with our physical eyes. I pray that there will be a rich harvest of souls for the Kingdom.

The Euphrates is only navigable by very shallow-draft boats,

Yes. How do you think we know how much there is of it? Psychic powers?

&lt;sigh&gt;Yellowcake does not produce gamma radiation above background levels. It does produce alpha and beta radiation, but even a sheet of common paper will stop alpha and beta radiation.
&lt;sigh again&gt;What "efluvium" (sic) do you mean. The acid wash? The equipment? The rock and soil washed out of the pitchblende? And why would we be looking for it when we have the yellowcake?

Well, actually WMDs are not limited to nuclear and thermo-nuclear. There is also chemical and biological. The potential for killing 1/3 of the world's population is much more likely to be found in a biological agent than nuclear bomb.

No. In fact, subs cannot even operate safely in the Persian Gulf. It is too shallow for the subs to get below the level of total reflection. In other words, you can still see them from the air.

We are very fortunate to have an expert in this field on this board to put rumors to rest. Rather than arguing with him about these certain matters, it seems to me it would be better to tap into this valuable resource of info. [IMG]

I would be interested in your opinion as to what the potential effects of suitcase nukes set off in 6 or so major US cities simultaneously would be and what you believe the effects might be concerning wind spreading radioactivity, casualties, long-term effects on food, water, etc.

(PS: Don't intend to hijack this thread, but I guess it could be connected in some way to Saddam - We do know al Qaeda had a presence in Iraq and had training camps there before the US went in.)

The probability of terrorists being about to build and deliver a satchel nuke is, at best, remote. Contrary to popular opinion, nukes are not quite as simple as most people think they are. They require a fairly sophisticated infrastructure to manufacture.

Even the bombs and warheads that (allegedly) went missing after the breakup of the old Soviet Union are much too large to deliver by hand. The only likely scenario would be to bring one into a port city in a cargo container. That would devastate the port and possibly much of the city associated with the port, but to be able do this en-mass is not likely. However, as most nukes are well shielded, and produce only minimal amounts of gamma radiation, detecting such a device using radiation monitoring equipment would be quite difficult.

The greater threat probably lies in the manufacture of "dirty bombs." These would be conventional chemical explosives that have been jacketed with uranium, plutonium, or other fissile material, or even spent fuel from a nuclear power plant. The explosion of the chemical bomb would spread the radiological contamination over a great distance. However, the bright side is that such "dirty bombs" are very radiologically active and would be fairly easy to locate using radiation monitors.

The more serious threat is, in my opinion, conventional explosives being used to blow up the "tank farms" filled with gasoline and diesel fuel found in or near any large city. If the large "tank farm" in central Orange County was blown up the resulting fire and smoke could conceivably kill or injure several hundred thousand persons down wind from the "tank farm." Not a happy thought. :(

The real threat from terrorism is the fear.

At least 8,000 people die a year from food poisoning. We do not fear it and it did not devastate our economy.

Katrina's flood has devastated an entire metropolitan area. And this disaster has tied up 5 or 6 more metropolitan areas. Yet, we live in fear of terrorists. That is the true nature of terrorism.

The 9-11 attack did much more damage than the physical damage. The greatest damage from 9-11 was phsycological.

    Let me try this again:

    Where is the evidence?

I never claimed to be "an expert upon WMD," nor have I held myself out as such. I simply
asked about the proof for your claim. Where is the evidence?

Regards to you, down in the Lone Star State (where is your location, by the way?),

Yes. How do you think we know how much there is of it? Psychic powers? </font>[/QUOTE].......then exactly where is it? If we found it, then where is it?

Regards to you as well, way out on the other coast,
