Oh, not at all: no offense taken.

Quite a gifted artist.

I believe she was an English teacher before she started recording professionally. Her love of the Lord and of poetry meshed well with her love of the piano and of writing. She recorded a CD of songs for close friends and family called "Past the Wishing" and it was this that made its way into the hands of someone at INO Records. She released an album called "Conversations" with such really great songs as "The Word," "Painting Pictures of Egypt" and "Hello Lord." Later, INO re-released "Past the Wishing" as her second CD with wonderful songs such as "Song of Solomon" and "Awakening."

I've met Mrs. Groves, and she's quite real. A wonderful, down-to-earth personality, I firmly believe that she is singing with the purpose of sharing God's love and encouragement for the Christian, as well as testimony and salvation for the lost. I'm a big supporter of her music.

According to Sara Groves' website, she graduated Evangel University, and then taught high school, from which Joshua Rhodes states her more recent history.

Evangel University's website has a website about its' alumni, and Sara is listed as the 2004 Outstanding Alumnus award:

Evangel University is associated with the Assemlies of God, which is the largest pentecostal denomination in the world. According to the alumni website, Sara is MARRIED with two children! She is a member of Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, which is an Assemblies of God church.

I also enjoy Sara Groves' music and soon will buy her three albums.

Thanks everyone for the replies. The reason I inquired is that she's doing a Saturday concert at my church in a few weeks (it's not listed on her website's calendar), and I wanted some insight into her music. I've got 7 visitors who've agreed to come with me that evening, so pray for the Holy Spirit's leading.
