The SBC recently passed a resolution to use race theory and intersectionality as tools. I myself would suggest that they commission a study of their own power structure in Nashville to see how these tools show what they are doing.

Here is the entire infamous resolution # 9 in case you thought that communism was dead:

"...Well, that aspiration was successfully realized. That is precisely what the adopted resolution says. But the reality is that neither Critical Race Theory nor Intersectionality are simply tools. They are indeed ideologies that have arisen out of neo-Marxist, postmodern worldviews and are used by many to promote those worldviews today (the fact that it is called Critical Race Theory indicates that it is not simply a tool of analysis). Do they contain insights that are true and helpful? Yes, I concede that. But to suggest that they are merely tools of analysis is misleading at best and deceptive at worst.

Personally I think it was deception. They tried to mask it by saying it should be subservient to the scripture but that in no way brings its use to an end, especially in light of Moore and his buddies claiming Social Justice is a gospel issue.

I listened to an Allie Beth Stuckey video saying that they brought this resolution up in the closing minutes of the meeting--were you there? Is it true that this was pushed through at the last minute along with a dozen other resolutions? She said that it is part of the progressive doubting of Scripture and her guest was SBC Pastor Tom Ascol, who tried unsuccessfully to amend the resolution.

I listened to an Allie Beth Stuckey video saying that they brought this resolution up in the closing minutes of the meeting--were you there? Is it true that this was pushed through at the last minute along with a dozen other resolutions? She said that it is part of the progressive doubting of Scripture and her guest was SBC Pastor Tom Ascol, who tried unsuccessfully to amend the resolution.

I was not there but watched it live on facebook feed. Honestly I can say that they gave everyone a chance to speak to it. What bothered me most was their response to Tom Ascol. I do not think this all is over as of yet. There are a lot of people who are not willing to sit still with this.

The SBC tends to flex and stray ocassionally from the churches it represents. It will get to the point the churches will reel'em in or exit.

Apparently there is a new and current push to promote H.B. Charles as the next President of the SBC. I can support that. He would not tolerate this junk going on and has been an open adversary towards it.

Not the neo-cals. Guys like Ascol, Charles, and have spoken out against it. TGC has been pushing it and last year at the convention it was pushed over and over and over again. I got sick and tired of hearing about dog whistles.

I thought the Cals were against it.

Looks like a lot of folks in the Founders Movement are against it, i.e., Mohler, Ascol, etc. On the role of women, I know Cals who think that complementarianism is a theological justification to keep women from positions of authority and not a core biblical doctrine. Since Wayne Grudem's championing of a novel translation in the ESV for the curses in Genesis, I am inclined to think those Cals are correct.

The talons are out and this latest fad in communist thinking is nuts. If the SBC is woke, then they can go broke. The SBC will not be able to make communism work in the USA. J.D. Greear and Russell Moore have more dollars than cents and they are still hard up.

The RCC is fighting this issue as they are having an Amazonian synod wherein they are going to learn from some of the most warlike heathen on earth about the environment and spirituality.
