What he said about the Scalise shooting was pathetic, however, he was not fired over these remarks. He is leaving the CBS Evening News and moving to 60 Minutes. This was announced several weeks ago, well before the Scalise shooting.

According to one of the daytime talk show host (either it was Glen Beck or Rush) it was solely for the Scalise shooting comment.

Yeah, this was announced at the end of May - I have heard other rumors, more that Scott never got along with his boss and that when it was time for him to renegotiate his contract,. Pelley got some guy the boss just hated to negotiate it. It sounds more like a personality conflict that started up elsewhere years ago.

I liked Scott. As really hate that for him. Heard the boss at CBS is the boss from you know where.

Glen jumped the rails bad. "Arguing With Idiots" is a very well researched and sourced book, full of answers to long time leftist talking points. I'm sure he had interns do most of it for him but it doesn't change how good it is.

The market will take care of Glen. He's one of those Trump haters who can't think straight once they see his name in print.

Worse everything is apocalyptic with him.

I did not even know he hated Trump. I totally quit listening to him about 4 years ago. He just got too Looney, conspiracy for me.

CNN has finally grown a conscience. Didn't think I'd live long enough to see this kind of righteous action by a liberal news network.

He'll probably end up on MSNBC. The Siberia for banished newscasters.

As I already said Pelley is transferring from CBS Evening News to 60 Minutes.

If he were to go to MSNBC, it is now the top rated cable news network. It would hardly be a banishment.

Fox is back on top. RDII's link post-dates ITL's. I know it's Glen Beck's site but it is sourced.

It is true that recently Fox wins most categories, but MSNBC's Rachel Maddow is most frequently winning the coveted advertising demographic of 25-54 year olds.

Fox's domination of TV primetime news shows had really taken a hit with the exit of Bill O'Reilly and Megyn Kelly.

I agree mostly. I feel Maddow will get a better gig soon and suddenly not do as well. Kinda like MeAgain Kelly. Or Steve Colbert.
