Glad that he apologized. I like Steve a lot.
He made a very bad decision, but it was compounded by having used that same excuse before. His claim called in the FBI. This is not the kind of action that should result in a mere suspension, but rather termination.

And if he was sincere, he would have consulted with those within his company. He may be a nice guy overall, but this was not a professional way to handle it. The problem is that his integrity and objectivity were called into question, and he then ruined his own reputation.

I am getting really, really, really, really tired of false witness against me.

Really? Hmmm..lets see with posts such as "the likes of Trump" its not hard to interpret them that way. I suggest you measure your words more carefully.

Sounds too much like the "cancel culture" of the Left.
LOL. Nonsense that completely ignores the reality. The Cancel Culture of the Left is all about canceling whatever and whoever resists conforming to their mindless, lockstep dominion. It has nothing to do with doing what is good or right. They call for heads when someone espouses a contrary opinion.

The better move would be for him to resign. But neither should be expected. Lying, covering up, dragging the FBI into the situation, are par for the course for the Progressive Leftist Dems. He will get a medal, maybe already has. The suspension is just for optics.
