Sealed until the day of redemption

How do we who have not believed in eternal security or OSAS, to interpret the verse in Ephesians that says we are sealed until the day of redemption? Thanks.

The sealing does not convey the meaning "trapped against your will".

Sealing in Eph 1 (and we see in again in Rev 7) has to do with the work of the Holy Spirit identified in John 16 in "leading you into all truth" as you walk with the Spirit and develop a "love of the truth" you are sealed into a firm determined stated from which you can not be shaken.

In Phil 2 it is called "working out your own salvation with fear and trembling' -- persevering to the point where your very character is molded and imprinted -- as Paul says in 1Cor 2 "with the Mind of Christ".

in Christ,

Bob
