Second Coming of Christ

Hey, something interesting- the bible says that the gospel must be preached in all nations and to all people groups in the world before the second coming of Christ, only then can Christ return to the earth. I got to thinking, what are the last un-reached nations and people groups on earth? I believe one is Iran, another is north Korea, also Japan is a bad one, and there are also unreached nations in the 10/40 window, plus there are un-contacted native tribes in the Amazon rainforest that have not been reached. European missionaries did a good job evangelizing many nations in the world in the last 100 years, they were able to reach probably hundreds of nations with the gospel, there are now only a few left that are un-reached! If we can reach these last few nations with the gospel Christ will be cleared to return quickly! The end is in sight!

Basically the definition of an "Unreached People Group" is a group that does not have a Bible in their native tongue. Providing everyone a Bible in their native tongue is a noble goal, but in my opinion the requirement that the Gospel must be preached to every people group (nation) does not mean that every people group must have the Bible in their own native tongue.

Many of those groups speak a native language amongst family and neighbors but they may also be fluent in the official language of their area that may be a language with a wider geographical usage. For example in my state and the surrounding states everyone uses English as the official language but there are Indians who use their native languages on their Reservations. It would be good to provide them a Bible in the Choctaw language (for example) but even if our local Indians did not have a Bible in their native tongue, they still have Bibles they can read, because almost all of them are educated in English as well as their native tongue.

As for Iran, and even North Korea both of these areas have been exposed to Christianity and have been for many years. The number of Christians in Iran is hard to quantify because to them being persecuted, but from what I read there may be as many as one and a half million Christians there right now.

Edit: After posting this, I was curious if the Bible was available in Choctaw since I used it as an example. There is a Bible in the Chahta language. You can download it from YouVersion just like you can any of the common versions of the Bible. Download the Bible in Chahta [Choctaw] - Download now or read online. | YouVersion

Christ will return after the last one of God's elect, chosen before the start of the world, has been regenerated.
