Nothing, absolutely NOTHING, surprises me regarding this hellish organization known as the Catholic Church.
There is a day coming...
"Here is a whole bunch more of Baptist child molesting pastors:

for centuries the rcc has molested children and hidden it, not called these men to an account, but moved them to a new area where no one knows they are pedophiles and allow them to be turned loose once more to molest more children. there is no comparision anywhere, and yet you continue to defend this type of thing. Here is a whole bunch more of Baptist child molesting pastors:

next, prehaps you didn't realize what the topic of this thread was, could you possibly reread the title and op before posting next.
Lori...
If you think there is any comparison whatsoever between the evangelical failings in this area and the cesspool that has existed in the church of Rome for centuries you are very very naive.
He is speaking of an individual failing as opposed to an institutional, corporate failing. The Roman Catholic "church" as a whole from pope on down."Evangelical failings"! You wouldn't be minimizing the 'filth' that these Baptist pastors have become are you? Talk about a cesspool.
I guess it just doesn't matter when it's a Baptist pastor that is fondling children.
Hush, hush, it is just 'evangelical failing'.
for one, no one has spent decades trying to cover up while putting pedophiles back with children to do more then fondle them, unless you look at the rcc, which has done exactly that. rcc, talk about a cess pool, everyone covering up whats been done to hundreds of children, and defending these priests, them never having to ansswer for it, and being moved and protected from prosecution, cess poll, all of them."Evangelical failings"! You wouldn't be minimizing the 'filth' that these Baptist pastors have become are you? Talk about a cesspool.

makes a mojor difference, one person compared to a whole church system world wide, pedophiles pretected by the pope, who apparently does not put much value in children. He is speaking of an individual failing as opposed to an institutional, corporate failing. The Roman Catholic "church" as a whole from pope on down.
one thing a local roman catholic can do is refuse to attend church lead by a child molester, and write the vatican and tell them so, won't do much good, but at least they've stood up in some form for a child, instead of participating in the cover up and devaluing of a child. their acceptance and continuing defending and attending is a participation in it.One difference is that in the RCC, the priest is an employee of the RC Church - who has authority over him. So when a RC priest is assigned to a new church in a different location, the congregation cannot reject him. Its much like the military - the Army give you orders, you report to your new duty station, and you are accepted without question (unless someone there knew you at a previous base). A Baptist church Pastor is only accountable to his own church. There is no authority of an association or denomination to prevent a church from accepting a new pastor that might have a cloudy past. Then it becomes the responsibility of the new church do do a complete background check on a prospective pastor.
we know it goes on in your church, it does not in mine.I'm not defending child molesters. You just can't see that the same thing goes on in your so called 'bible churches'. The RCC is so much larger than the Baptists churches and of course much deeper pockets.
Looks like there has been plenty of cover ups in Baptist churches as well. "Speaks highly of their dedication to Christ."
I did read the OP and I read your response as well which of course didn't surprise me. Hypocritical.
we know it goes on in your church, it does not in mine.
if you refuse to defend a child by speaking out about accepted pedophilia then you have defended it, approved it and participated in it.
which cover ups, who says, how many, are they all lead by one person like the rcc so that your attack would even apply? no they are not.i f you refuse to stand for a child and prefer instead pedophiles it speaks a lot of dedication or lack of to Christ. that is in fact hypocritical.
who hypocritical here, I suspect the one who prefers pedophiles, and who no matter what can not stay on topic.
