Yes, and we this needs to be done slowly, carefully, methodically and in phases, NOT just slam open the doors and let loose! Do you not know what I am responding to? Educate yourself:
Does that sound like the precautions we need to take?

Because grocery stores are essential and it is being accessed with social distancing and making less trips, yet still carries a risk. The reason other stores are closed is to facilitate slowing the spread of the virus, duh. Obviously opening all the other stores would greatly increase the risk of spreading the virus because COVIDIOTS would show with their kids at best buy and leave them to play on video monitors while they browse around and cough on things.

True, but we are far from that point and much greater threat is a surge of the spread of this virus and still that fact remains that we need to use great caution while slowly opening it back up to avoid a tragic surge, but that is not what people are saying they are suggesting we just open it up and let herd immunity take care of it. - pure insanity!
Seriously???

If someone wants to open it up right now and just let it run its course their scale is off balance.

I am well aware of the hyper political narrative that fuels this bandwagon, in fact I imagine Tucker Carson with a whistle in his mouth leading it, but I don't sit at home shaking about a socialist takeover conspiracy because my focus is on the reality that this virus left unchecked and allowed to run its course could kill easily kill millions in a short time! At this time there is no comparison between the damage, via suicide, and the threat this virus is capable of, people are not starving to death in this country, if your first priority is not looking at what will protect the most lives then your priorities are seriously messed up. What is more important money and temporary comfort or a person's life?

Hard to live your cushy little life when you're dead because of being too anxious to get your cushy back!

I think God would have us disregard the money and hardships and bless us for trying to protect the lives of our friends. You seem to be looking at it as to suggest we let nature take its course or like the abortionists who use the excuse the child would lead a life of poverty so it better off dead.

It's not a federal decision when to go back to normal. Each state will decide based upon their situation.

On the food situation, the agricultural industry is in chaos right now and everyone needs to be aware that shortages may exist into the future, especially when someone like the Governor of Michigan is not allowing people to buy seeds for their gardens or farms.

I myself do not have a cushy life. Here in the rust belt we had eight bad years in a row under Obama.

Okay, I'm for that, let's just open up!

Many parts of this country are not like NYC or Detroit. Starting the 1st of May sounds just fine to me.

Because grocery stores are essential and it is being accessed with social distancing and making less trips, yet still carries a risk. The reason other stores are closed is to facilitate slowing the spread of the virus, duh.

Which can also be done with social distancing, masks, limited number of shoppers allowed in etc.

Obviously opening all the other stores would greatly increase the risk of spreading the virus because COVIDIOTS would show with their kids at best buy and leave them to play on video monitors while they browse around and cough on things.

You are a worrying too much, get a grip.

Seriously???

Yes, seriously.

If someone wants to open it up right now and just let it run its course their scale is off balance.

So say you. Look, I am a truck driver and plenty of factories are now open so there does not seem to be a problem at those places. Everyone is taking precautions and they are working. Funny though, I haven't heard of any government workers getting sent home, why is that?

I am well aware of the hyper political narrative that fuels this bandwagon, in fact I imagine Tucker Carson with a whistle in his mouth leading it, but I don't sit at home shaking about a socialist takeover conspiracy because my focus is on the reality that this virus left unchecked and allowed to run its course could kill easily kill millions in a short time!

You should. Just look at all of the media, Democrat supporters in the 95 percentile. They don't seem to have any problems with keeping everything shut down. When you can't provide for yourself the government will just step in and then they never step out. The medical leaders have been way off base with their prediction of death's. They were saying 100k, 200k, but it's been quite a lot less.

At this time there is no comparison between the damage, via suicide, and the threat this virus is capable of,

I have heard several reports by very respected people. It is not just the virus that can kill. So, if more people die because of suicide and other factors that the virus would kill, you are okay with that?

Hard to live your cushy little life when you're dead because of being too anxious to get your cushy back!

My little "cushy" life as you call it isn't what you imagine and it hasn't ended because of the virus. I spend my days (3 weeks at a time) riding around in a box that is probably 10 X 8 foot of living space, bringing product to all the country. Bouncing up and down and pooping in a plastic bag is not a cushy life by any means let me tell you.

What I don't want is our economic system destroyed and an oppressive government taking it's place. We are lucky to have President Trump leading us at this point who in the main has not decided to go the authoritarian route. The left has been calling him a dictator since day one, then when he didn't immediately take control over all the industries the Democrats and their supporters went nuts saying he should do so.

I think God would have us disregard the money and hardships and bless us for trying to protect the lives of our friends. You seem to be looking at it as to suggest we let nature take its course or like the abortionists who use the excuse the child would lead a life of poverty so it better off dead.

Like it or not, this whole thing has become very political. The left wants ever more government control over everyone's lives and this is their excuse to go for it, even though most of the predictions of massive death has not come to fruition. Cuomo cried for 40 thousand ventilators from the Feds, he barely used 5000 of them. So many things are still coming out about the impact of this virus. They are now saying that in California many have tested positive with the antibodies but have never gotten sick, so maybe this is the start of the "herd immunity" we need, so yes, in a sense nature need to take it's course. We need to take care of certain groups of people, but most of us will be just find. This virus is not the end of the world my friend, it just isn't!

First, it is a lie to suggest that I would recommend such a careless approach.
I'm for that, let's just open up!
Second, ...

...that is pure insanity, but I'll give you the benefit of doubt being that there is definitely a strong element of ignorance in your suggestion. Nuff said, like I said elsewhere I'm done addressing this foolishness here.

Carry on...

Everyone who died during this mess on medicare or medicaid is worth $39,000 to the hospital if they classify the death as the flu.
