Seeing the beauty in God's Glorious Creation. God's Providence

When we see the glory of God in the creation we grow more appreciation for him and his providence. Here are some passages on the topic.

Psalm 104
Proverbs 21:1
Daniel 4:25, 35
Matthew 6:26-30

I enjoy watching the bunnies, the Toads hop, the birds, and the other animals that God has created. It amazes me seeing the beauty in the creation and worshiping our wonderful creator. So often do christians debate, and divide over secondary issues, but we should be united by glorifying God. No we are not like the New Age types whom worship "mother earth" we simply see the evidence of God in his creation. Perhaps it may be a good exercise to spend some time in nature and with your Bible and then will you get a new sense of the glory of God and what God has created. Charles Stanley has encouraged such activities and they work. I would suggest it. The benefits of such an exercise are:

1) See God in a new light by seeing what He has created.
2) Relieve stress.
3) Stop focusing on countless debates with other christians over secondary issues because realizing they are not necessary.

Seriously, though -- good post. Worth serious consideration.

All things were created by Christ, and for Him. This world was created for the working out of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.

Sometimes I grieve at the state of the church and the apathy of some towards God's creation. In the millennial reign of Christ I believe we all will be vegetarians, however I am not for certain. God gave us animals to eat, however he also expects us to care for animals. For example a white bunny does not deserve death for there are better meals out there such as chicken, fish, deer, beef, and the like.

But maybe you said this in jest.

Seriously? Why are deer, chickens, fish, and cows more deserving of death? Oh yeah..... they taste better! :tongue3:

Looking at God's majestic Creation is one of my hobbies, astronomy. That is where the screen name comes from. No, I do not worship Roman gods.

This is probably what you meant when you said I do not take the advice from others with "wisdom." You are right I choose to respect nature and God's creation which is something you do not appear to do.

I have met die hard vegetarians before and I chose to respect them despite our differences. I did not make fun of them or cast judgments on them for our differences. You know I like these creatures and would never eat them, so why do you insult me with this post? You wont see this because you are too focused on yourself. Get over-yourself man.

Do you use the Skyview app? I was introduced to it by a friend and have rekindled my interest in astronomy.

Yep, it was said in jest; that's why I put "Seriously" in the next line.

Although, if necessary, and by God's providing, if I need to use a rabbit to feed my family, and/or I need to use a frog as bait to catch something that will feed my family - I will do as our American Indian predecessors and thank the animals for their sacrifice, and give all honor and praise and worship to our creator who made them available to me so that I can take care of those He has placed me as a steward over.

Its all very wonderful. What have you learned?

Well when I first started the hobby as a kid, I made my own telescopes, reflectors. I would take glass casters (a pair) for furniture and make the mirror. It had to be a certain curve. I would grind and grind the caster. Then, when it reached the correct curvature, I would rouge it, then apply a silver coating. Then, I would take the mirror and put it at the bottom of a tube used to mail objects at the time. There was a formula to calculate the distance to the diagonal mirror and eyepiece.

Then, I got into the position of the planets using right accession and declination. With my scope, I could see all the planets except Pluto. All can be seen by the naked eye except Uranus and Neptune. The most magnificent view is Jupiter with its red spot and moons, and of course Saturn, with its rings. I also view many stars, nebula, etc, and an occasional comet.

Anyway, after becoming a Christian, I realized what a majestic Creation God had made, designing all this, beautiful as it is. He put the Earth in the exact position to sustain our life. I guess the one question in all this that occasionally crosses my mind is if there is some type of life in the universe besides us.

Thanks for confirming that. Cant other animals besides frogs be used as bait? I believe it is illegal in some states to catch fish with frogs/toads. However it may not be a good idea to use a toad as bait given their poison.

Yes I suppose there are times when we need to eat a Rabbit, however I hope those are few and far in between. Rabbit are beautiful creatures.

Hey, cows aren't ugly.

BTW, I agree about seeing the beauty in creation.
