Well starting in verse 14 I thought "nothing unclean of itself" and "all things indeed are pure" from 20 would mean that my job alone is not "unclean" no matter what it is.
Was I off base there?
The whole context of Romans 14 has to do with food and drink, but in some other things it could be applied.
In your case you have a "clean" job. No one at your church is upset, your function is an honorable one - keeping watch over the activities insuring safety and preventing crime.
There are jobs which would be improper, rather not mention jobs pertaining to lust, etc.
I was saved "for real" in 2014, and was baptized on 9/7/14 - praise Jesus!
The for real just means I thought I was saved before but I wasn't. Now I know the difference.
Good, stay in the word as much as possible.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Presumably your pastor is a man of faith, does he know you are a young Christian?
