The story was about an adulteress, not about Billy the Kid.You add to the Bible when you say when Jesus says go and sin no more only means do not cheat on your husband anymore.
Do you find it hard to keep things in their context?

Michael,
I have been reading posts of yours for a while now, and you seem to be very knowledgeable about many different denominations.
There was a time when I searched for the perfect church to attend. I have since realized that a true believer does not have to attend a church. ...
Hmmm.... I wonder why Jesus created one visible church. I mean if the true believer doesn't need to attend it and all.

Her life of sin was an adulterous lifestyle--one of committing adultery. What you say here is very contradicting in what you have been saying. It is very telling; for you to say it were about an adulterer and not Billy the Kid implies that she has no other sins to stop doing!
Jesus told her to leave her life of sin, that is not to say not to stop hating her brother, or any other sins she was doing.

What is your life of sin? An accuser of the brethren?
