If you run a network you run it for profits, Religious or for entertainment, unless you proclaim it as non profit. If his inspiration network is privately owned and is for profits then the mansion is earned. The government has no business poking it's nose into anything unless this network is claiming non-profit status. I would like to know what kind of housing the exes running PBS live in while they are at it. After all, they do get some of our tax money and rely on donations for broadcasting.
I wish he was as eager to pry open Chris Dodd's, or Barney Frank's, or Al Gore's books.
That depends on the state in which they live.
Any reputable non-profit should not have a problem providing their books for any valid reason.

Any Pastor building or buying a multimillion dollar mansion should be investigated. That same Pastor also needs to look into his heart and reassess himself spiritually.

As powerful as our government is today, if you offend the wrong person...you've got problems coming...
It boils down to this. A person giving money to a ministry, has a right to know how that money is being sent. Most people probably not ask for a financial statement from the ministry. Those who do, probably would not be able to determine if there is "funny business" going on.
Therefore, is it the job of the government to check into these ministries, or should there be intra-ministry checks, such as the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability?
You can look up to see if a ministry is approved by ECFA.

Anyone donating to a church who has a Pastor build a multimillion mansion has every right to question the spending of the church's money. This has nothing to do with the government.......although I am for more government controls of church financial reporting and more penalties for abuses.

No ministry is above the law, including God's laws.
Christians scriptually can rebuke each other if there are problems within a church. And every Christian who gives to the church has a right to question a Pastor buying a multimillion $ home.
