It always saddens me when I hear of the death of any person. We all love life and like the old Neil Diamond song says, life ends too soon. I did not always agree with Kennedy nor did I always disagree with him.

BOSTON (Aug. 26) - Sen. Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts, the last surviving brother in a political dynasty and one of the most influential senators in history, died Tuesday night at his home on Cape Cod after a year-long struggle with brain cancer. He was 77.

Not unexpected, but sad just the same. Despite their wealth, the Kennedy's have worked tirelessly to improve the lot of those less fortunate than themselves.

One doesn't have to agree or disagree with him to be sorry for his painful struggle and to sympathize with his family at this time.

I pray that they recieve peace and comfort that only God can give.

Agree or disagree with him, he should be thanked for his service, and condolences extended to his family.

Death is always tragic & saddening. I was extremely opposed to the things he stood for, but I hope his family will be able to get over his death with ease.

Yep.

Using other peoples money to do their social engineering.

And the peanut gallery weighs in.

Perhaps, but Carpro is dead on in that assessment.

And the fact that his death is tragic for his family, which I totally agree with, does not lessen his participation in the steady demise (IMHO of course) of America.

Incidentally, was that comment a reflection of your opinion of Carpro, or his comment??

Here we go again. It's going to be another Kennedy love fest and frenzy. Makes me want to throw up.

That's why I made my comment short & simple. Otherwise, I would have said some other remarks that would get the liberals riled. I will go on to say that I hope that there will be no one to fill a senate of congressional seat for that long. Strom Thurmond & Ted Kennedy both should have ran for a certain number of terms & moved onto something else. No one should stay in those positions for more than 12 years (two terms as senator or six terms as congressman).

He served his country well and always sought to raise up those who didn't have the same advantages. He accomplished much in his life. I hope he is in a better place. :)

Is he the last of that generation of Kennedys? If there are any more they must be low-profiled considering their "royalty."

I believe he is the last Kennedy of his generation. I am not sure if any of the Kennedy spouses are still alive or not.

I like this statement, and it reflects the way I feel.

Good job Bigbossman... truth with compassion... that is what a Christ follower is to display.
