    I think the time question is one every pastor must ask for himself. Your professors and mentors can offer guidance and advice. What other pastors are doing can also be helpful. The bottom line for you is this... be the pastor/preacher God created you to be. My messages tend to run anywhere from 35 to 50 minutes, but that's me.

    A good church will give the pastor the freedom to be who He is and receive God's Word with a heart of gratitude. The goal is to communicate God's Word to a people who are desperate to hear from Him. Mature or maturing Christ-Followers will take whatever they can get. A church filled with the immature can be a difficult place to be, but a great place for ministry.

    Be you... follow God's lead... be bold... trust Him...
