Another body blow to Trump's team. Is there any truth in any of his administration?
-----------------------------------------------------------

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has said he was acting in his capacity as a U.S. senator when he met with the Russian ambassador at the Republican National Convention, but the Wall Street Journal reports that he paid for related expenses with campaign money and that he spoke about President Trump's campaign at the event. Sessions came under fire on Thursday over the revelation that he had met with the Russian ambassador, Sergei Kislyak, at the convention and again in Washington during Trump's campaign. He has announced, in the wake of the controversy, that he would recuse himself from any inquiry related to the 2016 presidential campaign. The White House has defended Sessions's meetings—and his failure to disclose them during his confirmation hearing—by claiming that the meetings happened in his capacity as a senator, not as a member of Trump's campaign.

Not that I'm agreeing with CTB; we rarely, if ever, agree on anything....

...but what makes his animosity any different than the animosity that was shown toward Obama for the last eight years?

The obsession & constant digging for ANYTHING that MIGHT put Trump in a negative light, regardless of the gravity of "the" incident.
Trump is obviously living in crabby's head rent free.

BIG difference is that most of the stuff towards Obama was due to his ungodyprograms/agendas/policies, while that against trump is all personal!

And everything you wrote here -- how is it different from all of us who posted every negative thing about Obama we could find?

Here's the thing, Yeshua: in CTB's mind/perspective/understanding, Trump and his programs/agendas/policies are just as un-godly. It's no more personal for him than it was for us about Obama.

But Hank - YOU'VE always been self-aware and honest about it.

I'm not against defending Trump; let's just be honest that CTB is the opposite side of our coin. And then decide if we're going to continue to be the same as him, just for your candidate.

He is not viewing this thru the lens of scripture though, more from emotinalism...

Main point is that, with some exceptions granted, the criticism against Obama were policy concerns, not just some off the wall chatter spewed out hoping somthing would stick - like 95% of the bilge against Trump!!

Guess what US Senator met in secret with Russians to have them interfere and step into the 1984 US election?

Teddy Kennedy, so did the Dems have a cow over that?

Of course not and the more investigation that happens the more the DNC is going to be embarrassed.

Prediction: This will end soon.
The DNC is beginning to realize (maybe) that you can only cry WOLF (волк) so many times and folks will eventually just walk away.

But a new calumny will be provided and a different pile-on, etc, etc...

I believe the DNC will just fade away.

Wonder why the Dems were quite back then?

Yep, read the article. However misdeeds in the past do not justify misdeeds in the present.

Correct, including the current progressive liberal hypocrisy, Fake News, riotous destructive demonstrations and fabrications concerning President Trump.

Kennedy tried to interfere in election though, and Session did not!

That is an unproveable assumption. We do not know what he and the Russians said and agreed to and we do not know everything he did or did not do.
