COPY AND SHADOW OF THE HEAVENLY THINGS

Hebrews 8.4-5

"A Copy and Shadow of the Heavenly Things." These words of Paul reveal very important inside of the Physical Rituals and Ceremonies that have Spiritual Connection with the Spiritual Things in Heaven. In this case one of these Spiritual Things of Heaven is the first Tabernacle made by Moses, the pattern, or better say a diagram (schematics, plan, graphic) was shown to Moses on the Mount Sinai (Horeb) (Exodus 25.9.40, 26.30) (Hebrews 8.2.5).

Similar order of GOD was given to Solomon the son of David, to build the Temple to the Lord in Jerusalem, and GOD shown him the plan of the Temple (1Chronicles 28.19) (2Samuel 7.13) (1Chronicles 22.10, 28.6).

But also exist and another Jerusalem, Jerusalem in Heaven (Revelation 3.12) and another Heavenly Temple and the Ark of the Covenant in Heaven (Revelation 11.19, 15.5-8), and even the Altar of the Lord (Revelation 14.15-18).

In his vision John did not saw the Temple of GOD in Jerusalem. Perhaps he meant that he did not saw the Physical Temple, but most likely saw the Heavenly Spiritual Temple of GOD (Revelation 21.22).

Perhaps many other Heavenly Things exist in Heaven similar to earthly physical things about which we know nothing. These important statements lead us to one important conclusion, that all the Physical Rituals, Ceremonies, and Customs, all of them have something to do with the Heavenly Things in the Spiritual Realm of GOD, and this is why Paul called offerings of sacrifices and gifts presented to GOD on the Altar as "a copy and shadow of the Heavenly Things." (verse 5).

Similar to all of these statements in their meaning we already know the Words of Christ that give us some clues about our personal lives as well: "whatever you shall bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven, and whatever you shall loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven." (Matthew 16.19, 18.18).

WRITING ON THE HEARTS

Hebrews 8.10

Without GOD'S help we will never be able to follow Him, be faithful to Him, and love Him. Our own nature is so sinful and so wicked that it will be impossible for us to follow GOD on our own accord and not constantly sin against Him. Just like Hebrews, we also require often reestablish our own Covenant with Christ through constant prayers, regret, and repent for our constant transgressions.

The plan of the Lord for salvation of humanity is very simple, He must choose those who are able to believe in Him and to follow Him, and from this selection He chooses those on whose hearts He will write His. He will write His Laws and His Commandments on their souls, in order to make them faithful and dedicated to Him to the end of their lives, otherwise the salvation of those who follow Him will be impossible.

Such people will be literally possessed by GOD and will be unable to turn from GOD to the left or to the right, but their love and dedication to GOD will be like of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and David, and like the rest of the saints and holy men of GOD. Their faith will be unshakable and unwavering against any odds, resistance, and fear. Blessed is those on whose soul GOD will write His Laws.

~ 10. *Writing of the hearts: (2Chronicles 30.12) (Psalm 40.7-8) (Proverbs 7.3) (Isaiah 44.3) (Jeremiah 24.7, 30.22, 31.33, 32.38.40) (Ezekiel 36.26-27, 39.29) (Zephaniah 3.9) (2Corinthians 3.3) (Hebrews 8.10, 10.16-17).
