I'm not into Rap but I love this song. If this has been posted before, sorry for the repeat. What do you think about this song?

Love it. Shai Linne is the first Christian rapper I've heard, his song Atonement Q&A specifically, and I literally was dumbstruck at what I was hearing. Amazing. I've since become a big fan of him, Lecrae and others.

I would have never though I would find myself saying I like a Rap song. Now I must admit the message has a lot to do with it, but it is also because I can understand what he is saying unlike most other rappers.

I wonder if they have received much criticism from this song?

Same here.

I'm sure he received some criticism about that song, but sadly most of the general criticism toward the "holy hip hop" artists, like Shai, has been from other Christians. :BangHead:

This one will be criticized by Hinn, Dollar, Bynum, Myers, etc. Great song. I'm amazed one of these false teachers hasn't sued him.

Been listening to Shai Linne for a while now. Really good stuff.

I've said it before around here, there's quite a movement among young, evangelical rap artists right now. They're producing some great music. Even more, they're almost all pressing genuine faith and orthodox belief in their lyrics.

I highly recommend it.

From what I've seen, Shai has gotten a lot of pushback from followers of these false teachers. He has received emails, comments, and other forms of communication that stand by their leader. This is to be expected. What is sad, though, is the supporters of these false teachers, when confronted with truth and then pressed for a deeper conversation are not able to handle it. Telling imho.

The song has been out for some time now, maybe a year, and they have completely ignored it. Probably don't want the controversy or being confronted with the truth.
