Good news: Fighting is rampant on the "versions" front. This should alleviate the battleground currently being fought in "politics." LadyEagle, radio in for supplies and re-inforcements. HQ out.

Disappointed in your implication Bro Curtis. My feelings about abortion are well known here.

Obama's horrendous stand opens a whole new door for the murder of the innocent. If they can now be allowed to die at birth how long will it be before then can be actively killed when a few days old?
Exactly Roger. Thats why this is so much more horrendous, it has far reaching implications. Once this is acceptable, as in the president believes it, says it, sign laws supporting it, you can then kill any child you no longer want.

I wasn't implying anything, Roger. I'm on your side, on this one, I think. The GOP won't end abortion, despite the desire of the people who will vote for them.

Snuffing out a life, is snuffing out a life. If abortion can be legal, why not infanticide ?

I'm disgusted by the whole industry. Sorry if you thought I was dissin' you, It was not my intent.
We may never end legal abortion, but we sure can fight to keep infanticide from being acceptable and legal. God will not allow a nation who does this to contunue to exist it's so evil.

I'm equally offended, by both. Why aren't you ?

Seems to me McCain will only allow you to kill babies inside the womb. Are you really going to tell me God is happier, that way ?

McCain is not pro choice. As has been falsely stated, he has in fact wanted to overturn Roe v. Wade. I don't agree with his stance on exceptions due to rape and incest, but do agree on the exception of saving a mothers life.

McCain is rated 75% by the NRLC, indicating a mixed record on abortion. (Dec 2006)

Care to take a stab at my challenge to Donna ?

This is one of the best forums going, and personally LE, I think you do a great job.

This is one of the few forums that make a difference in the destiny of our nation, that maybe someone could see things a different way.

I can go above and argue for open vs closed communion all day, or KJVO, and no one is going to change their mind.

Sure, in this forum there's a lot of bickering, damning, muckraking, mischaracterizing, and hyperbolizing.

But why take all the fun out of politics?

I think one of the obstacles to a more general consensus on the "abortion" topic is simply that too many think "LEGAL" = "RIGHT/CORRECT/MORAL/TRUTH".

T'aint so; all it takes for legality is for the legislature to say so, but there's a totally different standard for truth that the legislature can't over-ride.

Just cause the gummit says that abortion is legal, sure doesn't make it right or moral!!!!!!:tear:

People need to see what God says, rather than man.:praying:

Maybe trying to ignore the less-than-Christian posts would be the thing to do. (I plead guilty to some of those) Tho I am new in here, I don't visit as often because of the politics forum I try to remember that there probably are non-Christians who post here to stir the pot.
I think what hurt the most was when a moderator said they disliked anything or anyone from Texas. (that is the way I took it). From then on I knew I had to consider the source whenever the moderator posted. But, I do pray for them and everyone here.

Well, that was pitiful. :tear:

This forum serves a valuable service. It is partly because of the things posted here that I finally was able to see beyond the Obama frenzy and hype and see the truth. I know there will still be some Christians who will vote for Obama, but at least this forum exposes them to the truth and may help others to see the light.

BTW, this may be a good time to say this. One thing that makes some Obama supporters hesitant to acknowledge the truth about Obama is the personal attacks upon the one's who are planing to vote for him.

I know I finally stopped engaging in these threads and concentrated on what an Obama administration would be like instead of being determined on holding my ground against any attacks. Then it was easy to see the error of supporting someone who holds to his ideas for governing.

When a Christian honestly looks at the teachings in the Word of God, it is difficult, if not impossible to then rectify this with the things the Democratic Party stands for. Like I said, some will still vote for Obama, but at least Christians here will have done all they can do to dissuade them from making a horrible mistake.

Well, I would think all Christians should strive to be on Christ's team, both spiritually in their heart and also practically in the way they live their lives.

Actually, I wasn't on another team, I was merely watching from the sidelines. I just woke up and decided to get back in the game.

Hey, I'm considering moving to Texas; just not happy with the property taxes. I like Texas.

Well, except for the Dallas Cowboys....

If the polictics forum closed, it would only boil over into other forums. At least this way it is contained.

That would be because we have the most liberal, person ever running for president, this as far as I know is the first presidential candate who believes in murdering children outside the womb, and with christians approving. That would be why.

I am amazed that we in our civilization who are talking about abortions as a political topic instead of a moral/ethical/cultural subject.

I agree with what you have posted donnA and would like to add :

Aren't we glad that Mary did not abortion her baby?
