Yes, there are faithful Christians who support abortion to some degree or other.

Also, there are some Christians who believe in killing men, women and children of all ages. It is called an unwarranted war in Iraq.

So, frankly, I would step down from the self-righteous stool before it tips and does a mischief.

Cheers,

Jim
As someone who is against the war, and against abortion in all it's ugly sinful forms, I think you might be on a tipsy stool, as well.

From what slime-pit did you pull this ridiculous idea?

Oh!! Maybe anybody who supports the Iraq war, in your mind, automatically is for killing "-men, women and children of all ages"?!?!

Sheesh, no wonder the level of dialog on this board is so juvenile!

I am always aware of the stool upon which I sit. Perhaps tipping experiences cause me to address some issue from the other side.

Cheers, mate,

Jim

Well, I am glad that in this country, throwing shoes is an assault, and anyone who did it to any foreign dignitary would be swiftly punished.

It sickens me that people are glad Bush was assaulted on foreign territory. Shame on them.

Have you ever read the Old Testament?

At least Mr. Bush added his form of humour to the shoe throwing incident. David Letterman will have a picnic with Mr. Bush's response.............maybe we should too, even though I realize it could have been a bomb too!

We had a prime minister get a pie in his face during a campaign. I'm not sure is was a flavour to his liking either.

Cheers,

Jim

Bless your little pea pikin heart. Like you I sit my self righteous self on the stool rather than stand on it so I won't have far to fall. At my age standing on a stool, self righteous or not, is dangerous. Looking at your beard I suspect the same goes for you.

My dear friend, Old Regular, at 81 I have trouble even getting on the stool, except when wife puts me there,,,,,,,,,,in the corner.

Cheers,

Jim

Unless you wish to claim that God commanded the United States to invade Iraq your statement is without merit in this thread.

I wear a size 12 double wide, my shoes are too hard to find to just throw at people, and I may injure myself trying.

That and it's about 11 below zero outside.

I think you have the right idea, Jim. We non-right-wingers ought to just go along with the right-wingers and agree with them that we are communists. Maybe it will make them happy - finally.

I remember a communist fellow who banged his shoe on the desk at the UN..Remember Kruschev and the Cuban Crisis?

Cheers,

Jim

I think it is dispicable for anyone to throw shoes at any POTUS whether we agree with him or not. It makes me sick that after all the lives and blood and treasure spilled over there to that bunch of ingrates, this even happened. I would feel the same way if it was BHO. We certainly haven't thrown any shoes at any Arabs when they came to visit our country, including the idiot leader from Iran when he was here. It kinda makes me think the ingrates deserved Saddam. And yes I'm angry.

LE, I agree with you for the most part on this, but I would say that perhaps our invasion wasn't wanted in the first place. Imagine if China invaded us. I might be tempted to throw a shoe at the Chinese premiere. We were not universally seen as liberators.

We won't be standing before God with our pastor. He is accountable for the false gospel he believes in. It is a reprobate message. If he dies continuing to believe such tripe, he will spend eternity separated from God. From his own words, he is as much of a christian as Oprah.

He is accountable for his faith in Christ as his Lord and Savior. You added the other requirements.

I wouldn't count on it, Ken. However, I have always liked the old Soviet National Anthem. It is quite a beautiful and majestic piece of music. Sad that it represented such a bad regime. There is a version by the United States Navy Band, along with others on Wikipedia.

I wish you'd stop whining about how everyone is calling you a communist, Ken.

Okay. I will fufill your wish, my bluegrass buddy. :)

I am listening to bluegrass music right now. It makes politics seem a million miles away.
