The pastor of a Kissimmee church shot and critically wounded an employee Tuesday morning in a shoot-out after he notified the man he was being fired, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Benjamin Parangan, a member of the maintenance crew for at least eight years, is accused with opening fire when he was told he no longer had a job, according to the sheriff's office.

The bullets missed Pastor Terry Howell, 61, who drew his own pistol and critically wounded Parangan, 47, according to the sheriff's office.

Look around .... that type of stuff could happen here if we were to believe the anger and hate being demonstrated on this board.

Let's just pray that all the rhetoric being said and reflected on this board is just that .... RHETORIC? The truth is, I wonder if we'd all talk to one another in person, like we do when separated by "cyber" space?

There is an old saying, that is is much easier to kill your enemy from 50,000 feet or thousands of miles away [with bombs or missiles] than if you had to d it face-to-face!

I wonder if all these OP's would be as heated and ugly if we were all sitting in the same room, discussing and debating issues? We need to step back and look at what we have become, or like one member said, "Holding at the O K corral!"
