the constitution is NOT a document that God gave the US, it is not perfect and should be open to change. Like the really dumb 5th amendment, that allows criminals protection by the constitution, to remain silent about their crimes! You call this a good thing?

How do you know anything about the US Constitution?

Biden wants to abolish civil rights. He supports HR 127.

The problem with the UK is that the rich are iron-fisted and do not allow the poor any significant civil rights.

It protects citizens (not yet convicted of anything) from an abuse of power by the state.

Most convictions come because of confessions, despite being read their rights by police.

peace to you

well, I can say no more, as I have just discovered that here in the UK, this "right to remain silent", is also available here, though,

"Parliament has created a number of rules which allow an accused’s failure to answer questions to be used as evidence of showing his guilt, effectively diminishing this right to remain silent. These circumstances include remaining silent on being questioned by the police; not accounting for a certain object in his possession; or not accounting for his presence at a particular place." The right to remain silent in criminal proceedings - InBrief.co.uk

we live in a sinful, fallen world!

So, not denying the accusation becomes evidence of guilt.

I agree. Convictions were MUCH easier when you could torture a confession out of a suspect. Bring back the good old days ... let's restore the Inquisition!

A gun is first and foremost for personal protection. You can’t expect anyone to protect you from harm — you must both arm and allow for training, and be prepared to use it if an assailent accosts you.
