Should a Christian do business with only Christian people?

I think it can be positive to make special effort to do business with Christian-owned businesses, but it's simply not feasible to require that all business be done in this fashion.
Case in point: from which Christian-owned oil company will you purchase your gas?
You will need to get a well, too, because your water company is not owned by a Christian. The same goes for your gas/electric bills.
So, you can live in a tent...that is, if you can find a Christian to sell you one.
I could go on...

If we only do business with Christians, how can we be "lights" in this dark world? Just because someone calls themself "Christian" or say their business is "Christian" doesn't necessarily mean that these people are born again and run "Christian" businesses.
The lady who led me to the Lord said this to me about 30 years ago: "Don't always trust 'Christians', always trust Christ". In other words, use discernment in all things.

Most of the time, if I have a choice between a Christian business and a non-Christian business, I will do business with the Christian.
However, as has already been pointed out, not every service we need has a Christian owner.
Also as Linda said, not all 'Christians' run Christian businesses.
There is a man in our town who owns a furniture store. He says he is born again and is a Baptist and I know he attends church on a regular basis, but his actions with other business people in town is very arrogant and rotten. I will not do business with him.
So I voted 'other'...

My experience with people that advertise themselves as "Christian" has been generally bad. Not all the time, but generally.
There's lots of other factors to consider:
1. Using God's money wisely in getting the best deal for the cheapest price
2. testimony in dealing with non-believers
3. Are there believers doing this kind of work?

I think that would be pretty much impossible.
Incidentally, the only person we ever had to take to court over a business deal called himself an ex-preacher. He even used this as a defense. Judge wasn't buying it, though. Ironically, the person we most trusted at the time had been in prison for drugs, and had truely turned his life over to Jesus. He was a good man.

If given the choice on a "first chance" basis (ie: I moved to a new town and don't know anyone or anything about the town yet) I'd choose a Christian business. And then from that point on, it's based on service. If I take my car to Walmart for a oil change, and they leave the oil filter off, they won't get my business again, regardless if they profess Christ or not. I voted Other.

I have difficulty with people using "Christianity" as a market for their business. If you are a Christian, your actions will reflect your Christianity.

Honestly, we'll go to the best business whether Christian or not. I'd rather go to someone who gives me a good price and serves me well no matter what they believe than to go to someone who gives bad service because they're a "brother or sister".
I have to say, though - it IS nice when the best business is a Christian business - they have a great testimony!

I voted yes with Joe so he wouldn't be the only one. 
It depends on how the non-christian conducts their business. If he's corrupt in anyway then no.
How does he treat his employees? And, so on.
A Christian should seek out other Christians to do their business dealings with.
