Should a Christian join the military?

With the Democrats, i.e. the godless left, in charge of our military, should a Christian join and support those insane policies? Or if a Christian joined during Republican rule, should they re-up if Democrats are then in charge?

Even a so-called Republican engaged in a "pre-emptive" war in Iraq, because of a supposed "future crime using weapons of mass destruction."

In the post Christian era, many of the organizations that were neutral as far as godly behavior, now openly advocate for unbiblical behavior.

Every single vet in my life advised me no. My brother was told the same thing.

Instead my brother serves in law enforcement as a State Trooper and I chose the Fire Service to scratch that service itch.

It's the military's loss and they are losing the exact people they need in my generation.

I dont think it is the military that wants to be PC
Rather it is the govt (the libs anyways) that is telling
the military, that they must be PC

Might be interesting to see what some Generals will say after they retire

If we are to be fair, the military is a microcosm of society.

As our culture changes so does our military. It reflects, and has always reflected, our nation as a whole because it is made up of a very broad slice of our country.

The question about joining the military is exactly the same as other careers.

Should a Christian be a police officer? Should a Christian be a politician? Should a Christian be a doctor?

The answer is the same. It depends on the Christian and is a matter of conscious.

One of the last… no the last thing my surigate dad told me was do not allow my children to go in the military and he had his reasons. What he saw and did in WW2 was incredible. The man was in the infantry, a sniper, And finally in an anti tank squadron. He killed many and ended up in the VA hospital without a leg & PTSD. Experience is a teacher…

I believe that it is an honorable profession, and one can do it in the Spirit of Christ.
