Should Christians Eat Fast Food?

Fast food in general is a contributing factor to the obesity epidemic in America. Not only is there almost no nutrition value, it’s becoming increasingly expensive.

Last year, I could have saved hundreds of dollars if I avoided fast food completely. It makes me wonder what other good causes I could have spent that money on to serve the Lord.

As Christians, we are commanded not to defile our bodies and that includes what we put in it. Should fast food be eliminated from our diet completely? If not, how much is too much?

Since there is no "law" to help make food choices (what/where to eat/drink) I would use the "wisdom" principle for making this sort of decision. I make my wise decisions on . . .
What food is best choice? (healthy, not chemical-laden, over-processed, gmo, sugar-saturated)
Where food should be purchased? (opt away from deep-fried fast food, greasy gut-bombs of youth)
How much food should be eaten? (BIG problem for me since buffets are commanded - Paul said buffet your bodies)
What to pay? (Cost is factor in retirement. Obviously pay for convenience/service so careful product selection and eat at home most)

Now, what tastes best? 100% my choice. Within wise guidelines.

...yea, I sooo miss my teenage metabolism...

I love to cook/prep food (cooked for my aged parents for >20 yrs, Mom had Alzheimer's, Dad was primary caregiver). Whole, nutrient dense, low carb food at home, not so easy when eating out, especially since our daughter owns the best pizza parlor in town, but they do have cauliflower crusts available.

Do you enjoy prepping your own food? Don't have the time to do it? It's much cheaper (and interesting) than eating out, and, YouTube is chocked full of fantastic food prep videos!
