Should Germany be forced to pay up on Bonds?

Many bonds were sold in the US from 1924-1930 by the goverment of Germany.

Should they be required to pay up - which could run into the billions of dollars.

I don't know. But wasn't the Germany of then a difference Germany than today. Germany was split up after WW II, and east and west Germany was under the control of other countries. I know most of it is the same land mass but it isn't the same country or government. And how many years ago did the east and west come back together?

Yes they should have to pay up. They benefited from the investments and now they should pay.
