1st of all, gt video link! Thx! guess she done tole him.

sure, but who encouraged the settlers to set up camp all over the West Bank n Gaza to begin with? who ordered the massacres of Shatilla n Sabra? or is it justifiable force if it comes fr someone outside the cage?

ok, perhaps u cld enlighten me on the options the Palestinians had for their recent elections, which were heralded as democratic by the USA before the vote but were condemned when the Hamas (a party that was apparently supported by Israel to counterbalance the PLO) won. what options did they have? if the PA had won, they'd have been branded as terrorists, too, no? for having an Al Aqsa Brigade? i mean, what wld u have suggested a Palestinian voter to do? what's his/her view of Hamas--did it stand for destruction of the Israeli state holding them caged or a provider of medicine n hope of revenge?

hmm, if it's a crime to look at what might transpire on the inside of the cage? in ur book, is that tantamount w sympathy for the terrorists?

i mean, is there anything terribly Christian abt the main players on either side of the cage; so why keep defending one party?

hmm, why do i wanna agree? :D

well, what can one do if innocent people on both sides of the cage view the leaders on the other side as terrorists? how wld u help the kid that views his parents grow up caged n punished while Christian brethren in the USA look the other way, or the kid that loses a sibling to a suicide bomb?

what's a plausible Christian response/message to each of them?

i wldn't assume that. what wld u have done as an ordinary Palestinian or Lebanese? n fr their viewpoint, how much trust was built when talk n action fr the Israelis hardly matched (or shd we always give one side the benefit of the doubt?)?

well, neither side's a "proven partner" of anything so far. it will be hard, but they both need to work a little harder--both big Sylvester n the l'il Tweety in the cage.

In debate, introducing Masada into this topic is known as a "red herring."

actually not. it's to question the notion that suicidal r "worse than animals n defy even the laws of nature (God) [sic], the survival instinct." if it's heroism in Masada, why is it sub-animal in a different context?

but i'll let that slide. came across this interesting website today of Jewish ladies who make the effort to see both sides of the cage n conflict--without condoning the tactics of terrorism:

Well they have pie in the sky dreams then.
The ony way Israel will keep peace is IF hamas and hb and others stay out of her yard and quit blowing things and or people up.
The only way hamas and hb will keep peace is if Israel is totally wiped out, and then they want the USA gone as well.
Sorry I won't agree to give up my right to exist to make peace for brats with guns. Neither should Israel.

And we should quit pouring our tax dollars into these groups as well, both over in the Mideast as well as at home.

    "the only way"?

some Israelis wld disagree, declaring instead, "
IT IS IN OUR POWER TO END THE OCCUPATION !"

they don't see peace as giving up "my right to exist to make peace for brats with guns." perhaps there's a 3rd way, besides the shrill voices on both sides of the fence. following is an acknowledgement of war crimes on their part without advocating HB or Hamas terrorism:

i wonder how many wld consider this pro-terrorist or anti-semitic!

LE, I agree, we need more of our tax dollars here to take care of what we need to do. (like improve the stuff our men and women in uniform have to do their job) We need to do more serious work to find out what we are supporting before we put our weight into things.
How was Israel paid for giving in on Gaza as hamas demanded? They were told that was a step to peace. That is the last I need to see. The stated goal of the hb and hamas, al queada (i have seen this spelled so many ways lately I never remember which is right) and others is one thing, destroy all who do not serve allah in their way.
I do not intend to convert.
In no way do I contend that either the USA or Israel are perfect, we both have problems to deal with. Then again I personally am more of an isolationist myself, stay home and learn to live on our own with out such a dependence on others. However, when my friends need me, I am out the door in a shot to help them.
That pamplet is ok, now convince the brats with guns who send kids up to folks handing out candy with bombs so they can blow up not only the man in the uniform but all the kids around him who desire a sweet and a smile or pat on the head.
It is one thing to send a missle towards the enemy only to have him hide behind a womans skirt or a babes crib. Its totally another to attack when you KNOW most of the injured or dead will be noncombatants such as children.
I believe it was bin laden who when called on hitting such targets declared there are no noncombatants. That is why they are worse than animals, because only one worse than an animal would purposely set out to kill children.

I agree. It was SFIC who posted the pamphlet on international law. I feel we are wrong as a country to submit to international law and give up our sovreign rights.

Negotiating with Hezbollah is fine, but first you have to get their attention. Israel is taking that important first step, now.

You think they should negotiate with Hezbollah? Tell me...what should be the beginning point of their negotiations?

The beginning point should be to cease all hostilities with Israel, concede the right of the Israeli people to exist in their nation, and to agree to settle the issue peacefully.

If they can't do that, then the alternative will have to do. But you can't select who you'd like to negotiate with; it has to be your enemy.

Of course you can choose who you do and don't negotiate with. Israel should never negotiate with terrorists unless they are negotiating the unconditional surrender of the terrorists. That is the only negotiations that should ever be done with them.
