Well, this is to be said, your war on drugs is par with your war on terror ideas. </font>
Thank you. Coming from one so wise and knowing that they must use the names of two gods to sufficiently represent their magnificence...

Maybe good shorthand for you would be 2Xgod... very fitting for someone so knowledgeable as yourself. I have been meaning to express my awe at your ability to not only know people's opinions and characters by what they write... but also literally read their minds across cyberspace. On many occasions you have written my thoughts and attitudes back to me before I even had them... but they must have been mine since a "double god" told me they were.

Good Christians want to outlaw the sins which they think will not tempt them. Tyhe only difference between Prohabition and the current situation is that the beat cops are not getting their cut, but someone is getting it.

I propose that the State of Nevada be declared a "red light state" where all vices are legal. Nevada has few enough roads so that each paved exit could be monitored for intoxicated drivers.

It's obvious that some of you guys don't know how hellish this drug is. This is not alcohol. There is no "recreational use" of meth.

Our government can't build a road correctly. How are they going to "rescue addicts" from a drug that EXCELLENT INPATIENT programs struggle to defeat?

I'm not here to argue prohibition or twinkie management...I'd probably be much less vociferous on the pot issue...but man, this drug is pue evil...

Yes, by all means, Ken. Everyone should have a meth lab next door. Maybe if you're lucky and not have an explosion kill or maim your or your family and pets, it will just burn up your house.

Generally, 35% of all burn cases seen by the Vanderbilt hospital are not covered by insurance.

''When we look at meth patients, in excess of 90% of them have no insurance. Who pays for that? Society does,'' Guy said.

According to The Journal of the American Medical Association, trauma patients who are meth users are more likely to have longer stays in the hospital and the bill they run up is likely to be significantly higher.

In the JAMA study, which examined 212 minimally injured trauma patients, the authors concluded meth patients require ''an increased use of hospital resources, measured by length of stays and charges.''

The average length of stay for meth patients compared to the general population increased from 1.7 days to 2.7 days. Hospital charges for the meth patients were $4,000 higher than the general population.

For burn patients in particular, the rule of thumb is they stay in the burn unit one day for every percentage of their body affected by third-degree burns. If a patient's injuries cover 60% of his body, a stay of 60 days is expected.

''We see only the worst cases,'' Guy said.

At the recent annual methamphethamine conference in Nashville, Guy told accounts of some of the worst, including a man burned so badly in a meth-related explosion that his stomach had to be opened due to swelling. His intestines were held in place by a tent of plastic stapled to his midsection.

Watch out now, LE. Don't mess with his pets.

Government shouldn't pay. We should require that those of age of majority status be responsible for themselves and if they need help that they look to private charity.

If it wasn't for prohibition there would be no threat of having a meth lab next door.

Big Daddy Government conservatives are wrong on the "war on drugs" issue and betray their high sounding talk about limited government, personal responsibility, and following the constitution - just like their hero - George W. Bush.

The government shouldn't. It is a violation of the constitution when it does so, and it is a violation of personal responsibility when it does so.

"Drug lords." Heh! There aren't any meth drug lords. They're all small timers who get their stuff from the local convenience store, then destroy your neighborhood and your life. As someone else said: There are no recreational meth users.

Actually, they can't get their stuff at the local convenience store in Arkansas. It's all locked up, even from someone who simply wants some Sudafed for his/her cold. Of course, now they simply make the stuff elsewhere and ship it into Arkansas. And, of course, those who simply want Sudafed for a cold are still inconvienced even though the reason for locking up the Sudafed isn't working.

Most government policies are stupid. And Big Daddy Government Conservatives support many of these stupid policies. Conservatives as a class used to know better. Real conservatives still do.

Those who?
A person who has reached the age of majority should be allowed to do with his/her body as he/she wishes and be allowed to suffer the benefits/consequences of so doing. </font>
So now you're for womans choice. that's just great Ken.

So now you are advocating making fornication a crime? What do you want the punishment to be, hillclimber - capital punishment? Or maybe a prison term - how many years for a first offense?

Do you want to make lusting a crime, too? I wonder how you are going to prove that one.

I assume you are trying to derail this thread into the abortion issue. Am I pro-choice on abortion? Not at all. One person's rights end where another person's rights begin.

</font>
There was a time when fornication was a crime.
There was a time when sodomy was a crime.
There was a time when abortion was a crime.
There was a time when rape merited the death penalty.
There are a few things that are still a crime but the list grows shorter and sentences more uncertain.
I suppose a complete state of anarchy would be like the millennial kingdom for extreme libertarians?
