Romney was the worst candidate from the field of Republicans and they still nominated him solely based on this "He's the only one that can beat Obama" line.

If they run him again he'll suffer the same defeat, though by a wider margin. I don't see how any Republican nominee could muster a win against the Democrat field right now. They have lost the voice and focus of the country.

However, let us not forget that 8 years of this junk that the current President has been pedaling can get wearisome and perhaps a Rubio or Jindal could get enough support to gain the edge. Never underestimate a disenfranchised electorate.

Romney, though, is a dead-stick. He's the worst candidate they could run...well, almost...there's always Ted Cruz or Michele Bachman...

Don't worry, from what I'm hearing the Democrats are in a dilly of a pickle too. :D

Despite Romney's defects, perceived or actual --he has a better shot at it than anyone else in the field heretofore.

I have a hard time imagining Paul Ryan getting the nod. He is a smart guy but proved to be somewhat of an uncharismatic leader. Biden pretty much batted him around during the debates and Ryan just let him.

I thought Biden was a jerk in that debate. I'm not a Paul Ryan fan, but Ryan totally out-classed the doofus-boy.

Well, it must be hard to debate a guy, when you pretty much agree on all the major issues.

Very true but it was mostly the way Biden carried himself, coming across as more confident and in control of the conversation. I don't think Ryan did poorly with his content, he just looked irritated and flustered at times while Biden appeared dismissive and relaxed. Simply a matter of political experience.

Correct. Ryan made Biden look like an uninformed idiot.

Guess it depends on whether or not you wear glasses with just a left lens.

We clearly don't.

I think there is some Mittmentum going on. I see a groundswell of support building up for him.

What do you all think of the Mittmovement?

didn't matter then if his insights were good, what makes us think the American voter is more intelligent today ?
