Should Sen Schumer be made to make a personal apology?

Sen Schumer called an airline stewardess a witch or some similar term.
This web site said that "Sure, Schumer has said through a spokesman that he regrets the incident "

Why thur a spokesman? Wasn't Rep Joe Wilson required to apologize to BO? I wonder if Joe did it thru a spokesman?

In case you are wondering, yes, Sen Schumer is up for reelection in 2010

==I don't believe in these fake political apologies. If Schumer, or Wilson, is truly sorry then he should apologize and leave the media out of it. If he is not truly sorry, than any apology would be little more than hypocrisy.

The real question is Why is Schumer sorry, because he said it, or because he got caught?

Believe it or not people that we disagree with can actually feel sorrow for their actions.

We could question the sorrow of every person that we disagree with, don't like, etc., ... if we want to be that way.

ps - even public people I agree with may not necessarily be sorry for their actions...

A perfect example of isolated scripture selection to "prove" any given point.

While he may, or may not, be truly sorry, what is the overall character of the man - under different conditions & places?????????????

That gives me a pretty good idea as to the sincerity of this "APOLOGY"!!

Wilson made his own apology.

He just refused to do it twice.

I did not refer to any of the Scriptures. The same point could be made by a secularist.

Surely you didn't just read the first sentence and then reply -- did you????? :BangHead: It does appear that way.

(No blinkin' wonder a normal conversation is virtually impossible on this board!)

If Ron Paul is the ONLY one to do any good, then there is absolutely no hope for this country.

I have been hearing for the past 40 years, that within 5 years this country will be gone. Well, there have been 8 segments of 5 years, and we are still here.
I'm not saying everything is great, but...

During the George W. Bush years we were adding $500 billion per year to the national debt. Now we are adding triple or quadruple that in one year during the Obama administration and while that may start going down next year there is no end in sight to $500 billion per year increases to the national debt - that's $5 trillion for each decade.

The laws of economics have not been repealed. I think you know what the end result will be.
