None of the above. Presidential candidates should comply with the law. If a law has not been passed by the legislature in proper manner, then the candidate is complying with what is proper. In other words, if politicians don't like the policy, they should pass a new law requiring it. But how likely are they to do that. If they do, then they too would have to comply.

Now, I would say a Birth certificate should be required as that is concerned with a constitutional requirement.
- esp if there is ANY question about the location of the birth.

Isn't personal information personal?
Release what the Constitution requires is an excellent standard.
Next time around if and when the Supreme Court nullifies the Constitution we can have another discussion.

1) a candidate is required by Federal and State/Commonwealth law to release certain financial info -
including financial on his wife. You would think that is personal - but is required.

2) info such as home address, ect is public info for those running for office.

3) A birth certificate is public information

4) actually, a lot of "personal" info is public

This is one reason why radio/TV personalities use a stage name.
As I did.

In the debates, President Trump made the point that the Mueller team spent 48 million dollars trying to find dirt on him, and if there had been anything out of sorts in his taxes, then everyone would know it. If Mueller didn't look at the tax records, then maybe we should file a 48 million dollar class action lawsuit against him to recoup our tax loss.

The New York Times claims it has obtained tax data dating back almost two decades and covering hundreds of companies that make up the president’s business empire.

KEY WORD "Claims"
Has the NY Times shown anyone the tax return that shows he only paid $750?
Doe the return show how much was paid in withholding -?
