Yep. Whichever team had most players take a knee during the National Anthem loses. The Woke/Communist NFL can suck eggs in Hell for all I care.

Back in the mid-19th Century, a young man named John Paton read an article on the subject of the islands of the New Hebrides (Vanuatu today). In it, the author told how the inhabitants were cannibals, constantly at war with one another, totally immoral in the sexual ethics, killing and eating missionaries that came to them. The author held that these savages were beyond redemption and recommended that they should be killed off and others moved in to colonize the islands.

Paton was deeply moved. He considered Romans 1:16 which says that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and decided that if the Bible was true, the Gospel was the power of God for the salvation of the New Hebrideans.

When he announced his intentions to his church, and elderly gentleman cried out, "Mr Paton, you will surely be eaten by cannibals!" Paton replied, "Sir, you are very old, and your future destiny is to be eaten by worms. If I can do God's will by bringing the Gospel to the New Hebrides, it matters little to me if I am eaten by worms or cannibals, and my body will rise as bright and fair as yours on the Last Day."

Paton went to the New Hebrides and after many years and pretty extreme sufferings, the natives were converted. When he died, the islanders put up a memorial to him. It said, "When he came there was no light; when he left, there was no darkness." I don't know if it is still these today.

Should we care as to who goes to hell? John Paton cared, and so should we.

What have those "appalled" at the remark in the quoted post actually DONE about the eternal destiny of those in the NFL? Anything? Then what difference has your reaction made?

1. I am not aware of anyone kneeling in the NFL anymore when the national anthem is played.
2. I thought those people who took such umbrage at kneeling also claim to believe, by and large, in individual liberty. Maybe I was wrong to think that they did so. Or maybe they only believe in individual liberty for them and their kind.
3. The NFL is a human sports organization. Organizations, as a whole, do not go to Hell. The only organization, as such, that has an eternal destiny is the Lord's church and only He knows who composes that group, God's elect, the sheep for whom Christ died.

Showing the national anthem being played is a rather recent thing. I think it corresponded with the military joining with the NFL for recruitment advertising purposes.

Also, the NFL has nothing to do with the Army-Navy game. That is a college game.

Also, I am quite certain if anyone was still kneeling at NFL games that right-wing media would be broadcasting far and wide that it was happening. There are actual people at the games and those people have friends that they talk to, and I doubt that only liberals attend NFL games.

I know the NFL has nothing to do with the College games. --- and playing the national anthem has been going on for decades. Actually it started during WW I.

Of course the mourn those who die in sin, just as you mourn the death of your loved ones.
Death is an enemy and a curse. One day God will destroy death and we will all rejoice.
God does not rejoice over the death of those he justly condemns to hell.

You simply don't grasp Reformed theology very well and now you arr doubling down on your ignorance.

It's only while they are in this world that any mouring for the unbeliever would be a righteous sentiment, and then only for those who were not God's enemies in deed. The deaths of the oppressive and murderous are indeed cause for the righteous to celebrate.
