Should women wear pants?

I think the culture of the society dictates to what extent we might see a violation in dress code, meaning, we would not charge a man wearing a cult with being effeminate.
While I might consider a dress more appropriate in a service for a woman, at the same time, many wear dresses and skirts I disapprove of. Not long enough, and leaving little to the imagination.
I don't have a problem with women wearing pants, because usually a woman's femininity is not obscured by doing so. When that is the case, that doesn't cast all women into the same category as those who are intentionally "butch." Just as a kilt doesn't make a man feminine, neither do pants make a woman masculine. It is the behavioral aspects that are more important.

I am not sure the word skirt in that day meant always skirt like what we would think of, here is one definition by Webster's 1828 dictionary.

Did you know that for a long time (until the late 1930's) many considered it immoral for a man to go swimming topless? Did you know that wearing blue jeans as casual pants was initially a sign of rebellion (they were work garments)? Do men sin when they swim topless? Are men today rebelling against society when they wear blue jeans as a casual pant? The guy's legalistic (and sinfully wrong, IMHO).
But I do agree that men shouldn't wear women's pants, and women shouldn't wear man's pants. And I do agree that today's clothing is often wrong and opposed to Christian values. I don't mind women wearing pants so much (not all guys are as perverted as the dude in the video...our eyes don't tend to wander just because a woman is wearing pants). But I do find the practice of wearing leggings offensive. I guess I was not paying attention when it became in style because all of a sudden I looked around and it was as if a whole generation believed leggings were pants and wanted to show off what they got.
Actually, I thought about wearing leggings just to make a point. But my belly would probably overshadow the point I would be trying to make, so I'll just decline.

Thanks for calling me perverted... as if it's my fault that woman wearing immodest pants is a temptation to me. I didn't know being tempted makes you perverted. Every other man I have talked to about this agree that pants draw their eyes and attention to a woman's hips and thighs. LOL - There's a way to wear leggings and a way not to wear leggings. My girls know leggings don't count as pants but they DO count as pants-like tights.

Jordan - I have to break the news to you: Probably 95% of the world is not worried about immodest. What do you do about that then? You need to understand that in this world that we live in, there are going to be women who dress immodestly. "Draw your eyes"? Turn them away. It's the godly thing to do. Things that draw us to lust and covet are things that will always be there and we need to train ourselves to look the other way. My husband and I will watch TV and sometimes a commercial comes on that is immodest. That is when we instead will turn to each other and talk to each other or give each other a kiss so that he doesn't have to watch it. If he's in the room without me, he averts his eyes until the commercial is over. It's just being mature.
Sorry, I didn't know that that was you in the video. While I would not have thought otherwise (we all have temptations, but not everyone expects society to cater to their specific "sins"), I would have shown you the kindness of restraint.
And you misrepresented my post, brother. I agree that immodest pants should not be worn. I took the OP to be denouncing women wearing pants in general (not specifically those "designed" to highlight specific areas of the body), and in fact that was the topic of the OP (not women wearing immodest pants, but women wearing pants).
And no, the reason that I do not lust after every woman who walks by wearing pants is not because I have reached some high level of holiness above 95% of Christian men. I simply do not think that 95% of Christian men cannot help but to lust after every women who walks by. There is a difference between expecting everyone to remove temptation and overcoming temptation. If women wearing pants is that much of a struggle to you, then I suggest that you spend some serious time in prayer instead of insisting that women wear skirts.
Did you ever consider, BTW, that if pants in general worn by women draw men to lust, then pants in general worn by men do the same for women? By your logic, pants should simply not be worn. Your "booty" pants are making some woman lust, brother, and you are responsible for their wandering eye

That's the thing that so many seem to miss. Christians need to stop expecting others to remove all temptation and instead learn to flee from temptation. Yes, you can wear leggins with a kilt (not a mini-kilt, but a regular sized kilt).
And make sure that you wear those high socks. We can't have our ankles visible.
