There I go again? Where did I discuss this in the past? You are borrowing a quote from Rush Limbaugh - one that he borrowed from Ronald Reagan. </font>
Actually, I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh. He is on while I am at work. I borrowed that phrase directly from Ronald Reagan. I am actually old enough to remember when he used it. It was a good line for a great President.

Now that you cleared that up for us, perhaps you could answer the question that I asked, and you even reproduced with this reply............

Ah, I see. Yet in your statement to Joseph, I am lacking these as I am requesting proof.

For the record, I just went to the local Sam's Club and purchased the book. I will let you know when I am done.

BTW, have you read the book?
    I bought it @ Sam's Club for roughly $15.00.

Actually, I was directing this at "here now," but thanks for weighing in with that.
It is an easy read, and I should be done by next weekend.

No, I haven't read the book, so I'll expect a full book report. [IMG]

Uh-oh: I can't discuss any specific details of the book as it is copyrighted. Usually there is an exclusion for excerpts if and only if credit is given to the author/publisher (like Sean Hannity's books or Alan Colmes' book) but this one does not have that verbage in the disclaimer.

    Oh, well.....

Well he lied didn't he? The government admitted it in its report: there is no link between 9/11 and Saddam. The purpose of the war against Iraq seems to have been the removal of their head of state (like it or not, he was their leader, even if he was a tyrant and a despot that needed to go). It does not seem to me it was for the purpose of furthering the fight against terrorism.

Also, it seems almost inevitable that people would question Bush's intelligence when he comes out with sentences like the ones he has been credited with (and which i will not repeat, to not hurt people who like him and think he is soooo clever). I do not believe he is totally stupid and I even do credit him with a (small) quantity of brain power.

Who is trying to weaken the US? I think that it takes two to tango, so the Right would be as responsible as the Left for weakening the country.

    Joseph,

Why is it so important for you to defeat political enemies? Why defeat? This would - dangerously, in my opinion - imply that you think that you are politically right in all the instances you discuss, thus leaving no place at all for another person's views or beliefs. The purpose of a forum is to discuss, so why are you here at all, other than for the purpose of imposing your political views to your "friends" and "enemies" alike.

I am politically very far from you, yet we share the same basic christian beliefs, so why do you consider me as your "enemy" , when Jesus asks you to (a priori) love your enemy as yourself? [IMG]

Where is your obedience towards Christ's teaching here?

Yes. These are my enemies. If these are the people you would like to reach out to in a bi-partisan manner and embrace as your "brothers and sisters in Christ", then be my guest. I, for one, have my doubts about Hezbolla, Arafat, UBL, supporters of PBA, and those who are are trying to weaken our country during a time of war. I consider these people my enemies. They must be defeated.

    </font>
Joseph,

You are writing as if every person's destiny was carved into stone. Any person, even the worst criminal, the worst terrorist, can change hearts and hear the call of Christ. Will they hear? Probably not. But Can they hear? Yes, they can. You have no right to take away the possibility for these people to become Christians one day. You cannot be the judge of who will, when he or she dies, die as a Christian or as an AntiChristian. Peter the apostle denied Christ three times even though he lived with him. Do you really think that you are better, that you would never deny Christ? This would put you in the same category as the people you mention above, your so called enemies. What makes you so sure that you are so 100% pure and rightful?
